Just a Little Note

Sometimes you need just a little note to tuck into a gift, lunch bag or pocket, and what better than a 3 x 3 note card.  Not only are these notes quick to make, but they are economical too, you get 8 notes from a single 12 x 12 sheet. 

 Yes, I didn't clean up my desk yesterday so again we are using Pool Party and Island Indigo along with the cute little kitty from Touch of Kindness.  I stamped him with Black Stazon onto a 2 1/2" piece of Whisper White and coloured him with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight watercolour crayons.  The 2 3/4" square of Island Indigo is punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch and the kitty is attached to the back.  Linen thread attaches the jewelry tag with Hello from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Touch of Kindness

has the sweetest kitty stamp, don't you think?

 I stamped 
him onto Watercolour paper and then using Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight, coloured him in.  What about all these layers,

 I punched the kitty out with the 1 3/4" circle punch then layered it onto a Daffodil Delight 2" circle, cut with my Big Shot and Circles #2 die.  Using the Designer Label punch I punched one in Certainly Celery and one in Daffodil Delight, cutting both in half and then layering them under the image panel.  And of course, the kitty needs some bling, so smallest rhinestones on the Decorative label ends and of course, on the collar.

Too Bright, Too Busy

what to do when your Designer Series paper is too bright or busy for your liking?  Use small strips of the paper and add a contrasting colour 

 Now, I love the papers in the Beyond the Garden pack but this pattern is just too busy for my liking so by cutting 7/8" strips of the paper and matting them with Pacific Point, it made the paper stand out but not shout out!  The sentiment is from Touch of Kindness set and I have embossed it using Wild Wasabi Embossing powder.

Playing with my new goodies

The gorgeous embossing powders, love them.  So nice not to have to use craft inks or double ink your stamps and get beautiful colour.  

 For the image panel, first I stamped the flower in Versamark and then embossed using Melon Mambo embossing powder, second the stem embossed using Wild Wasabi and then using my Stamp a ma Jig, I stamped the sentiment and then embossed using Melon Mambo.  I do like this font on the sentiments in this set, Touch of Kindness, reminds me of the old typewriters that I learned to type on, with keys that always didn't line up.

Is it too much to wish that our new catalogue will have more colours of embossing powder, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue...oh one can dream.
