Tuesday Tip

Do you have a favourite tool in your craft room?  I know it is hard to pick just one, so let's take a few Tuesdays and check out my favourites.

And the tool I use the most---------no surprise ---------- My Big Shot!  This machine gets a work out almost everyday, from die cuts to impression folders, it keeps busy. .

Can you make a good thing better?

Well, Stampin' Up! certainly can!  The new trimmer we got last year is fabulous, nice large base, no need to pull out the extension for cutting 6" papers, cutting blade and scoring blade stay on the track at the same time but the track extends past the cutting surface so they are never in the way of each other.  So could it be made better?  You bet.  Check out new blades available-Tiny Wave and Small Scallop to add pizzazz to your projects with just a slide of the blade

One of my favourite tools

Is the Stamp a ma Jig.  Yes, you shake your head, and think that tool is a Pain.  Well, trust me when I say, USE IT.  Really just a bit of practise and it will be the easiest and best tool in your collection and ensures straight sentiments and images giving you a real professional card.

Now if you don't have one, make sure to add it to your next order 101049 $15.50.  And a great time saving tip for your wood mount sets, cut one of our window sheets into 9 4x 4 pieces, use these pieces as your imaging sheet stamping with Stazon ink (stamp carefully, straight down and up as the sheet is a bit slippery), use all four corners to stamp images and keep it in your stamp case ready to use the next time you pull out the stamp set.

Tool Time- Your best buddy

If you like embossing or using glitter, the Embossing Buddy is your best friend!

You take your projects from nice to WOW by adding glitter or heat embossing but leaving little bits of glitter or embossing powder all over your card, the WOW factor quickly diminishes.  Before you use glitter or heat emboss, simply rub your cardstock with the Embossing Buddy to eliminate static and remove any oils left by your fingers.  The result is glitter where it should be and beautiful clean embossed areas.

Tool Time

Haven't done a Tool Time for quite some time so figure it is time.  What about a basic tool that really is a must for your cardmaking- Stampin' Up!'s Bone Folder

Doesn't take up much room nor cost alot but it helps you to easily score and make crisp folds on your Designer Series Papers and card stocks.
