Swap cards

are so wonderful to receive.  I just got my SUDSOL Occasions Mini swap cards and my, we certainly have some talented demonstrators.

This beautiful card is from Carol Matthews, a Nova Scotia demonstrator.  She used the set, Sweet Cake to make this lots of layers card.  The Pool Party background is embossed using our Stripes Textured Impressions folder and then the image is stamped in Soft Suede.  She stamped the cupcake in Calypso Coral, fussy cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals.  

Can you see all the glitter, the icing swirls and the edge of the stamped image are all glitter-fied! ( I know what you are thinking-yes that is a real word in stamping circles!) I love the tiny scalloped edge made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch and the Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon bow.

Imagine

a chocolate cupcake, piped on high frosting topped with a cherry.  Ok, I definitely could not make that but second best I could make you a card that looked like that.

Isn't this a fun stamp, from the new Occasions Mini it is called Sweet Cake and comes with three different sentiments, Happy Birthday, Be my Valentine and You're so Sweet.  I stamped the main image in Pool Party and then using my Two Way glue pen to glue up the swirls to attach Red Superfine glitter.  The cherry is a 1/4" circle of Red Glimmer paper and then the Chocolate Chip cupcake is paper pieced.  Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig I stamped the sentiment in Island Indigo.  I used our ticket corner punch to mimic the corners of the stamped image and then matted it onto Island Indigo.  

And the nicest thing about a card over a real cupcake, this is calorie free and has not freshness date!
