Let's Celebrate the Holiday Catalogue and take you on a hop filled with ideas. My fellow SUDSOL members have got a wonderful little hop happening and when you are done, you are going to be inspired.
I joined SUDSOL shortly after I became a demonstrator and it was certainly a great decision. SUDSOL is a wealth of information, helpful fellow demonstrators sharing ideas and advice, patterns, class outlines, calendar templates, workshop ideas, business building ideas and weekly challenges to keep your Mojo following and a gallery filled with inspiration.
When I go through the catalogue, certain things always jump out at me, one this year was Color me Christmas. I love to colour and the images in this set, too darn cute, perfect for gift tags and cards.
First up I made gift tags.
Our 12 x 12 sheets of cardstock are perfect for making 3 x 3 cards, you get 8 out a each sheet. I stamped all the images with Black Stazon and with my Blender Pen and ink pads coloured the images in
I used our Square framelits to make the frames so quick and easy.

the images are cut out (except for the present) and popped up on dimensionals. One thing I do love about this set, is how easy the pieces are to cut out, not that you have to cut them out, but if you want to, they are quick and easy. Next I have a gift bag made with the beautiful Winter Frost DSP.

It is a gussetted bag, so easy to make with a few score lines and our Simply Scored board . I used the largest Deco label to act as the closure, first making holes with my 1/4" hole punch in the front of the bag and then the front of the label. The back of the label is attached with Sticky Strip to the back of the bag

I added a few banners of DSP and then the sentiment from Sweet Essentials and Pool Party seam binding to keep the bag closed. The little reindeer is decked out in a matching outfit using Pool Party & Smokey Slate markers.
And lastly, one of my favorite items from the Idea Book & Catalogue, Label Pop 'n Cuts die, makes pop up cards as easy as turning your Big Shot handle.

Again I have used the gorgeous Winter Frost Speciality paper and I just traced the curved ends onto the back of the DSP and hand cut it out. Inside

I cut the inner liner shorter than the outer layer, adding DSP bands to cover the seam. The sentiment from More Merry Messages is quickly cut out with our Deco Label Framelits and layered onto a Soft Sky framelit.
