You are going to want to make some of these quick festive gifts.

 
 

 Stamp your image onto tissue paper, I used Early Expresso ink and the reindeer image from Sparkly  & Bright and then colored his nose with my Cherry Cobbler marker. Cut the image from the tissue paper(I just roughly cut a square around him) and then place onto the candle.  Using wax paper (wax side against image) and tighten the paper around the candle.  Using your heat tool, carefully heat till the image goes shiny, cool for a second and remove your wax paper.  Next I stamped the sentiment on Cherry Cobbler with Versamark and embossed using Silver Embossing powder.  Punch out with the Decorative Label punch.

 Place your candle in a medium cello bag, attach label with Hemp twine and add your ribbon(Always Artichoke seam binding used here) and you are done.

 Ok, maybe a little too much fun!

When you just need a little something

to give to say Thank You, these little packages are perfect.  Inside they hold three thin dark chocolate mints, a perfect little pick me up.

 Crumb Cake cardstock covered with offcuts of Designer Series paper form the basic box.  Rudolph from Sparkly & Bright holds the top flap in place but I added a bit of ribbon as well to step it up.

 Quick to make, and guaranteed to make someone smile.

Happy Monday

I don't know about  you, but my weekend flew by.  I guess it is because I have so much to do in very little time.  I am doing good at getting things crossed off the list so that is wonderful.  For the short amount of time that I got to stamp this weekend, this is what I did

Yes, more gift tags. The reindeer from Sparkly & Bright fits so wonderfully in the  1 1/4" circle, then layered it on 1 3/8" circle of Glorious Green then onto a Red Scalloped Circle (yes, just a few are the opposite depending on how much was left on the sheet.  They are all layered onto Whisper White tags cut from the Two Tags die. Today, they will all get their computer typed labels and then on to the cups they go.  And another thing crossed off the list!

Multi Purpose Dies

When I purchase a stamp set or die, I try to think of how many different uses I could use it for.  Now you know I love the stamp set, Sparkly & Bright and use it alot.  The images are so perfect for layering with the scallop circle punch and the other day I showed the Two Tags Die and made, believe it or not, Tags with it.  Well, I didn't come up with this use for the die, another SU demo did and posted it on our SU site.  I think it would be perfect for any holiday table.  I have chosen Christmas because that is our next Canadian holiday, but if you were American, Thanksgiving is just over a week away.  Change the stamp and perfect table decorations.  Ok I guess you want to see what I am talking about, so I will stop rambling,

and inside, after dinner mints.  Ok, I only have mint patties, but they are mint.

These are very simple to make.  Cut two of the larger tag and fold on the score line.  Glue one to the other forming a tent.  Decorate and tie a bow with ribbon threaded through the holes in the tag.  Place a small cello bag filled with a treat inside and you are done.  Now, if I can present a dinner as just nice as these if will be a very good day!  Just wait, Valentine's Day, Red or Pink with hearts, Easter, Pastels with Rabbits, Eggs, Chicks.  You name the holiday, the table will be looking fine.

Bigshot 2 Tags Die

With Christmas just around the corner, and wrapping presents and stuffing them in the closets to keep them from prying eyes, the Two Tags Die (115954) a Stampin Up Exclusive die, is one of the best dies in your craft room.  This die cuts out two different tags, one that folds up and a regular tag. Here is what they look like

The larger tag is prescored for folding and the thinner tag fits our Scallop Circle punch perfectly making embellishment so easy.  Here are a few that I have done.

  For the folding tags I have used Hostess Level 2, Christmas Punch for the Kraft and Bashful Blue tags, the Real Red tag uses Bearing Gifts single stamp on Page 31 of the Holiday Mini.  The Scalloped end tags all have the Reindeer from Sparkly & Bright and to/from comes from the Christmas Punch set.   How cute and easy can it get?

The reindeer one uses Soft Suede ink and DSP and the Christmas tree uses Mellow Moss ink and DSP.  I think that this will be the card most of our friend get this year.

It's Friday

and I can't go a week without a Christmas card because as we all know, Christmas is only 126 days away and so that means in 100 days all your Christmas cards must be in the mail.

This card was inspired by Nona Davenport, she did a  patch square quilt card and I modified it using five squares and came up with this. I am really pleased with it and I can see using the reindeer and tree stamps in this set for this card too. If you don't have the Circles #2 die, your circle scissor or Coluzzle would work too.

Stamp a ma jig

Yes, you really need a Stamp a ma jig to do this card.  Lightly with a pencil, evenly divide up your cardstock and use your Stamp a ma jig to place the stamp in the box then just erase the lines when you are finished. And inside is the sentiment

Merry and Bright

Yes, another card made with Sparkly & Bright.  I found a piece of Real Red that I had used the Eyelet Border punch on so that is where the card started from.  The sentiment is from my favorite rub ons Chit Chat and seemed to work well with this set.
