Generation Stamping

No, Generation Stamping is not inviting all your family members over to stamp, but that could be alot of fun!  What Generation stamping refers to is stamping full strenght, ink up and stamp and then stamp again and again each time the stamped image gets lighter.  Just like this card, I used Marina Mist ink  stamping the center congratulations firsts and then lighter on both sides.

The image is from Sassy Salutations, a set with
a very fun font.  I used a piece of Marina Mist DSP from the Polka Dot Parade pack and then Silver Glimmer Paper stars punched out with a punch from the Merry Minis punch pack-just the perfect size for the strip.

Delicate Designs Folders

and our Large Scallop Edgelits are so easy to use and don't they make a statement.  To make layers like I have on this card, I find it best to make your smallest layer first, so in my case, it is the Whisper White and I center the edgelit so both of my ends are the same. Continue the same with your progressive layers, always making sure to center the edgelit so your ends match.

The DSP is from Patio Party, love those little hearts, perfect for the Thank you card don't  you think.  I used our scrumptious Raspberry Ripple cardstock and Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Never too early

to start making your Christmas cards.  Imagine this, it is September 30th and you have all your Christmas cards made and addressed in envelopes-yes, you can do it if you start now.  You would have 13 weeks to get it done-now that is feasible.  Then imagine December 1st, pulling out the stack of envelopes, adding stamps and popping them in the mail.  How great would that feel?

Well, here is a card to get you motivated.  I used the set No Peeking for this cute little penguin stamping him using Black Stazon onto Shimmery White cardstock.

 I then used Every Little Bit stamp set for the snowflakes embossing them with Silver embossing powder and then using Bashful Blue I sponged the background so it was not so stark.  The DSP- Be of Good Cheer, a wonderful pack to use for your Christmas cards.  And check out the funky sentiment

Seems to be a theme going on

Have you noticed how many birthday cards I have been posting lately?  Seems I have alot of friends that are born in July!

Here is another with the new sentiment set, Sassy Salutations and since it doesn't fit in a punch, I just used a strip and rounded the corners.

 

And notice something else that seems to be a trend with me lately?  Using DSP on a regular basis, I am so going for my goal of having no leftover DSP from this catalogue!  This paper is from Patio Party and it is perfect for a birthday card.  I used Pretty in Pink for the base and then a scalloped piece of Midnight Muse to hide the edge of the paper.  Pretty in Pink tafetta ribbon adds the contrast.

Dealing with retirement

 Not mine!! But the retirement of my go to sentiment set, Sincere Salutations.  Well, we may just have a winner with the new set, Sassy Salutations

Don't you just love this funky font?  While all of these sentiments will not fit into our oval punches, we do have more choices to make these stand out.   

Our fabulous framelit collections work beautifully.  For this card I used our Apothecary Accents pack and then matted with Pacific Point.  I stamped the sentiment with one of my new foam ink pads, Pacific Point and immediately sprinkled on Clear embossing powder.  That's right, our new pads are that juicy, that if you are quick, they emboss.  I used some of the DSP from International Bazaar for the background and some Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched grograin ribbon for the faux bows and tie downs.
