More little treats

for Valentine's Day.  These ones use the Two Tags die to make a cute little holder, simply cut two of the large tag (but make sure  you do cut them one at a time, when you use any die with score lines, using two or more pieces of paper, just enables the die to cut instead of score-you don't need to know how I know that!)

I used P.S. I love you again, so great to simply stamp and then punch out your images, I used the Full Heart punch for the large heart, Modern Label punch for the sentiment and then it needed something else so I added a little Pretty in Pink heart punched with the Heart to Heart punch.

A little box attached to the center holds the treats so they don't fall out.

P.S I love you

This was a set that I went back and forth on as to whether I should order it or not.  Well I did and I am glad.  I really don't have a Valentine set since they retired my favorite-Happy Heart Day.  Now with this set I could see lots of possibilities so I got it.  Here is one of my swap cards that I made

 

I don't know what is going on, I seem to be on a Pink Pirouette kick lately, that and Real Red or Riding Hood Red, funny how that happens.  This card uses Real Red as its base and for all the mat layers.  I used Pretty in Pink and Real Red dotted DSP and then the sentiment is stamped onto Pink Pirouette using Real Red and Versamark and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Three Real Red brads are easily placed using my Mat Pack (105826) to make them in a perfectly straight line.  The heart is from P.S I love you set, stamped using Versamark ink then embossed with Heat and Stick powder, then Real Red Fine Glitter punched out with the full Heart punch and layered onto a Pink Pirouette Scalloped Heart of Heart die cut. At this point the card looked ok but needed something and my friend, Sherryl (hi) suggested adding a couple more hearts so using the new Fashionable Heart embosslit, it finished it off perfectly.

Make someone's Day

It is so easy to show someone you appreciate what they do, be it the grocery clerk, the salesclerk or your UPS man.  Triangle boxes are quick and easy and embellish to make them pop.

I used Real Red cardstock to make the box,

4 1/4 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4 then mark the middle of the 4 1/4 side top and bottom, score from the mark to you center score, use your bone folder to make crisp creases and fold up into a triangle.  Your crop-a-dile easily punches holes on both sides for your ribbon that holds the boxes together.  I used our Framelits Hearts Collection to cut the Red Glimmer Paper  and then stamped the cherub from P.S. I love you with Early Expresso onto Whisper White punching it out with our 1 3/8" circle punch.  I used the Circles #2 die to cut the Early Expresso mat for the our cherub.

The sentiment also from P.S. I love you is punched out using the Word Window punch and matted onto a Early Expresso Modern Label punch.  Fill them with Hershey's Kisses or other small candy.

Clean and Simple Stamping

Now this card is a hard type of card for me to make, I love lots of layers.  I challenged myself to use just one stamp set, so I chose P.S. I love you from the Occasions Mini. Truthfully it is easy to use just one set when you have 15 different stamps in one set plus they give you two extra stamps!  What am I talking about, well, one of the stamps is a circle of hearts and the center of it comes out, giving you a solid  7/8" circle stamp and then the frame for the Modern Label Punch also has a center that comes out.  Can you see a light background behind your stamped sentiment in the perfect shape as the Modern Label punch?   I stamped the Cherub, sentiment and border all onto the Crumb Cake cardstock and then I just had to add a bit of layering with the heart punching it out with the full heart punch and layering on to a Chocolate Chip heart cut with the  Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit.

Quick and Easy Gift Boxes

to fill with cookies, candies, maybe a little jewelery-there is alot of room in these little Kraft Boxes (124106). The size 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 and  you get four for just $3.50. So easy to dress up, here I have used a Pink Pirouette Top Note die, scored in the center and attached with Sticky Strip to the lid.   Truthfully that was the hardest part of the whole thing-attaching straight  and you know with Sticky Strip you get one attempt!

next I wrapped Real Red Satin ribbon around the box tying a box on top.

 Then I stamped "be my valentine" from P.S I Love you onto Whisper White then using the coordinating frame that comes in the set, stamped that with Basic Black before punching out with my Modern Label punch.  I also stamped the "Circle of Hearts" image onto Real Red in Basic Black punching it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch.  The final piece is a Red Glimmer Paper scalloped circle and layered them all together and then attaching to the top note with dimensionals on either side of the ribbon.  Now when the receiptant unties the ribbon, the top note flips up from the bottom allowing access to the goodies inside.

Perfect box to make that simple gift, simply special.
