the final days of the Occasions Mini with such wonderful sets as Easter Blossoms,Bring on the Cake, Eat Chocolate and one of my favourites, Plane & Simple. Today's card is a bit of the old and a bit of new just to entice you.
So what is the "new" part, the DSP, there are two great new packs in the Summer Mini and the one I used on this card is called Nautical Expedition but I thought it worked perfectly with the airplane from Plane & Simple.

Do you have the Owl Punch
If you don't, warning, you are going to want to get it!
I cased this card from the British Mini, it was just too cute to ignore. Now you can just use the Owl Punch and make the standard owl or step him up by doing just a couple extra steps. Step 1)Punch out the owl body in Early Expresso and use your paper snips to remove his feet then using a thin strip of Pumpkin Pie, punch out the feet and a tiny bit of the owl body and attach to the back of the owl, now you have perfect feet. Step 2) Use your small scalloped circle and punch out a Early Expresso circle, cut in half and attach to the back of the owl body for wings.

Now I know that February is a short month but did it fly by for you too? Must say, I am not too sad to see the end of February, knowing that spring is just around the corner and then my favorite season SUMMER.
Today's card was one of those cards that just fell together, got to love it when that happens. First I picked my stamp set, Plane & Simple from the Occasions Mini and stamped the plane in Early Expresso. This is one color that I thought when it came out, why do we need another dark brown, well, it seems to be my go to color now, I just love the richest of it. After stamping my plane, I lightly sponged on some Crumb Cake ink to take away the harsh contrast between the Early Expresso and the Whisper White and then using my Early Expresso marker and Color Spritzer I added some Early Expresso dots.
For the background paper I used paper from Botanical Gazette, a beautiful pack in our Mini and then a piece of striped Early Expresso DSP fromt he Neutrals pack
The sentiment is from So Happy for Your, a Sale-a-bration set.
