I think, make very elegant cards. Just like this card I got in a swap from Brenda Cash. She used the stamp sets, Everything Eleanor for the flourishes and then Beautiful Wings embosslits for the butterflies.But what really makes this card this card pop is the way she highlighted the sentiment from Petite Pairs by using her Big Shot and the Designer Frames embossing folder.

Greeting? Just one week left of Stampin' Up's Grab your Greeting promotion and all three of the sets on sale are fabulous but I do think, Petite Pairs is my favorite.
Petite Pairs is just like the name, small greetings that come in pairs, one for the outside and one for the inside of your card. I used our new Hostess Set, Simply Sketched for this card, stamping the flower in Stazon and colouring in with my Blush Blossom, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz markers. I love using our lighter colours for colouring directly onto paper, for deeper colours, I will use my blender pen. And just what would go inside with this greeting?

Stampin' Up has a incredible assortment of fabulous punches. They are perfect for punching out sentiments and images but they are also the best for making punch art. This card is for a special little guy who really got hurt and while the card will not make him better, it may put a smile on his face.
Even before I knew what I was going to make, I knew the stamp set I wanted to use, Petite Pairs, and the sentiment "sending a Kiss" and inside "to make it better" The bear is punched in Soft Suede cardstock using the following circle punches, 2 1/2", 1" and 1/2". Even the nose is made with the 1/2" circle punch and just punching on the edge of a piece of Basic Black cardstock making a 1/4 circle. The "bandaids" are made with our Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack, I used the cross looking one and then just cut the rounded parts off with my paper snips. Making punch art is so easy, but it is important to remember to sponge the edges of your shapes with ink to give dimension.

Silver Glimmer paper, that is one thing you are going to want on your next order. It makes your cards just pop. I cased this card from the uber talented Mary Brown with a couple of changes. Our Snow Flurry die from the Holiday Mini makes quick work of this card. The card is a 4 1/4 square card and uses our Lacy Brocade impressions folder for the backdrop for this gorgeous snowflake. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and is silver embossed and highlighted with a thin scalloped strip of more Glimmer paper. I used a Red Glimmer Brad from the Brights collection in the center. This time, I used a sponge dauber and Marina Mist ink and coloured a couple of the snowflake layers and used a Silver Glimmer brad.

That background is a quick and easy technique using your ink pads, a sponge dauber and a sheet of acetate. The background really makes the whole card pop. I used Whisper White cardstock and Crumb Cake ink for the technique and then Soft Suede the card base and image. The trees from Serene Silhouettes are perfect for a guy card and the simple sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Case a Stampin' Success card
Yes, simple and fast can be easy and appealing! We have the Polka Dot Impressions folder on the top and the beautiful Lace Ribbon border punch in Old Olive with a 1/8" strip of Daffodil Delight highlighting the center. The DSP is from Flirtatious Speciality pack and the Melon Mambo flower is cut from the Flower Folds die and 1 1/4" Daffodil Delight circle matting the sentiment from Petite Pairs.

Texture. I don't know about you but sometimes when I am supposed to be sleeping I toss and turn and then think and design in my head. Today's card is a result of one of those nights, and I think it is better than what I imagined.
I wanted tone on tone with texture so I started with a base of Naturals Ivory and mixed it with Very Vanilla but then it needed something to add some pizzazz but in a subtle way, so Brushed Gold. So I have the colours, and since my order came the day before, the Houndstooth Embossing folder was begging to get out of its package so there was my texture.
Isn't Houndstooth a beautiful texture? I punched a strip of Very Vanilla with the new Lace Ribbon Border punch and attached it behind the Houndstooth panel. Then maybe I need more texture- so add a strip of Very Vanilla embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder
Now we have texture! Before I assembled all the pieces I sprayed them with Very Vanilla Smooch Spritz so we have a bit of shine with our texture. I gold embossed the sentiment punching it out with my 1 1/4" circle punch layering it onto a 1 3/8" Brushed Gold circle and the butterflies are also Brushed Gold from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die.

One of the sentiment sets that caught my eye when the next Catalogue came out was Petite Pairs. The set has nine different sentiment pairs and I liked the fact that you can use the sentiments together or individually and the fonts, certainly makes me wish I had better handwriting!
For today's card, I just used sending sympathy sentiment
I used the HOstess set, Love & Care using my Rose Red, Regal Rose and Old Olive markers to ink up the stamp. The DSP is from Nursery Nest and is matted with Pear Pizzazz.
