don't have to be hard to make! I find it funny, lots of layers, easy, single layer-say what! But with a little masking, sponging and layering of stamps, it really can be easy.
See, doesn't really look like a one layer card does it? First I masked the top and bottom of the card and stamped the large butterfly from Papillion Potpourri in Versamark and clear embossed them. Using my sponges, I added some Daffodil Delight ink and stamped on a few more butterflies with the Daffodil Delight ink. Then using En Francais and Pumpkin Pie ink added a bit of words, not really worrying about placement or how much of the stamped image really showed up and then I added some Pumpkin Pie sponging. Now rub the panel with a paper towel to remove any ink off the embossed images and then remove the masking. I then added the sentiment from Happy Day using my Stamp a ma jig to ensure perfect placement. Now I could have just stamped the Pumpkin Pie butterfly on the card, but I wanted it to have a bit of dimension so I stamped it on some scrap Whisper White, punched it out with my Elegant Butterfly punch and attached it with a glue dot. Hmmm, maybe this isn't a one layer card after all!
to modify stamps sometimes. Scotch tape is super easy to use to mask off parts of stamps to make the image perfect for what you want. Simply use the tape to block off the chosen part, ink up, REMOVE the tape and stamp-perfect every time. (Although only if you remove the tape before you stamp!!!)

I really wanted to make an inspirational card for a friend who is going through a rough time right now so the never underestimate stamp I thought was just perfect without the Two. So out came the Scotch Tape and then using my Stamp a ma Jig, I added a letter from Morning Post.
Yes, the letter U! The colours are Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Whisper White and Basic Grey and then for just a little extra, a butterfly from Papillion Potpourri, stamped, coloured and punched out.
When the Spring Occasions Mini came out there were alot of new and fabulous things in it, and one thing that I just thought, gee, I would never use that. Now, from past experiences, I should know, never say never. I have seen so many cool things with this "thing" I didn't want, so I finally thought, what is wrong with you, get it. Ok, what did I make with the Base- a gift card holder. That is right, just add a couple of score lines and voila, you have an beautiful gift card holder.
How is that for some fancy packaging? Now this was not my idea, I told you, I have seen so many cool things made with this die. The one who designed this fabulous holder, Australia's Tanya Bell. I used Perfect Plum for my base and highlighted with Pretty in Pink and our wonderful Gold embossing powder. The butterflies are from Papllion Potpourri and the sentiment Beautiful Birthday . Simply score your diiiie cut piece(starting at the bottom flat part) at 1, 3 3/4 and 8 1/4 and create this holder.
I love the simplicity of this card. I was blog surfing and found a site called CAS(E) this Sketch and this was the Sketch for February 26. Quite often I find the simple cards so hard to make, well this one, super easy. I used DSP from Summer Smooches cutting one 1" strip. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the DSP using my Stamp a ma Jig and black stazon in. The butterfly is from Papillion Potpourri stamped in Melon Mambo onto Pink Pirouette and punched out with our Elegant Butterfly punch, popped on some Basic Pearls and added to the card with a dimensional. Using our 3/16" corner rounder I rounded the top and bottom corner and voila, done! So easy.
