How do you choose what colours to use to make a card? First I pick the stamp set, I decide to use my current favorite, Mixed Bunch. Then sometimes I start with cardstock, sometimes with our Designer Series papers. One of the best things about Stampin' Up is the coordination with our cardstock, DSP and inks. So with this card, I started with the DSP-deciding to use Twitterpated. SU's description on this package says the colours it coordinates with are: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Grey, Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride,Baja Breeze and Whisper White. I choose my DSP from the pack, one of the flower pages and I decide to use Baja Breeze as my base and make my flower the same colour using Riding Hood Red for the center. I then add some Island Indigo for pop and use Island Indigo for the sentiment.
Well, that was quick and easy so let's make it again but this time switch the colour for the base to Riding Hood Red
Now this is just two choices, but think of the other combinations with this same paper, Blushing Bride base, Riding Hood Red scallop, Island Indigo base, Riding Hood Red scallop, Pear Pizzazz base, Blushing Bride scallop. So many choices, one DSP.
Happy Stamping,
