He is a happy one,

 I just love this guy from Merry Crittermas, in fact he is the reason I purchased this set!  And since the beaver is our national animal it just seemed the perfect thing to put on my cards that are going overseas.  Today's card uses Real Red ran through the Big Shot with Petals a Plenty impressions folder attached to a Whisper White card base.  I then attached a piece of Wild Wasabi DSP to a piece of Garden Green and tore the edges to add more texture.  The beaver is stamped on Whisper White using Black Stazon ink and then colored with my blender pen and ink pads.

I used my two way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds to add some sparkle to all the white trim and then a Rhinestone on his hat

 And inside, the tree from the same set stamped in Wild Wasabi and just a touch of color to the ornaments

 The greeting is from Many Merry Messages, one of my favorite Christmas sets, with eight sentiments for the inside and outside of Christmas cards.

Time for fancy

fold that is! Gatefold cards are so easy to make but add that extra bit of interest but still are a standard size.  For this card, take your 4 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock and score at 3 1/2 on the left and 2" on the right and this is what you get

 Add some Designer Series paper, here I used Jolly Holiday and then attach your image panel to the left side only. 

 So easy.  Inside just stamp your greeting or attach a piece of Very Vanilla with your greeting.

Stamping on Candles

well, not really but how about stamped images on candles, now that is the correct statement.

 Yes, these little guys are from Merry Crittermas and the two raccoons are on one stamp but I carefully cut them apart and placed them on my block with the tree inbetween.  And just how did I get them on the candle you ask?  Super easy, stamp the images onto white tissue paper with Black Stazon and then I carefully colored them with ink and my Blender pen.  Trimmed around the image and then using wax paper pressed the image tightly to the candle and carefully heated till the image was attached to the candle.  You don't melt the candle but the wax on the waxed paper and that is what attaches your images.

 and then how about a box to put the candle in for giving as a gift

 a simple 3 x 3 x 3 box  holds the candle.

Who loves their kitty?

My niece, Emily, so this card is for her.  The kitty is from Merry Crittermas,  but this does not look like a Christmas card does it?  I stamped the Kitty onto Watercolor paper and colored with my Aquapainter and watercolor crayons.  A punched heart from the Owl punch is the perfect size for the book. And as any three year old knows, Kitties can read!

Tobogganing- so much fun

 I remember when I was young, it was, you didn't care if you got cold, you would tell your Mum, no it's not cold.  Now that I am the age of reason, I know it is cold and I don't toboggan.  But this set, Merry Crittermas, has the cutest rabbit on a tobaggan, and he does look like he is having fun

 Dazzling Diamonds, something that I haven't used for awhile, will definitely making alot of appearances on my Christmas cards. I stamped the bunny onto Shimmery White with Black Stazon and watercolored him.  I must say my watercoloring is definitely improving, I guess it's true, practise makes perfect.  I have alot more practising to do, but not too bad

 I see you noticed the bruise in the center of his forehead from the earlier run, funny how you don't notice them until you are posting your pictures!

A Tent Topper Card

fits in a standard envelope but gives you a bit of a change from a standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card.  You start with a smaller card base, 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and then you attach your image panel so that it sits above the card base like this

 yes, this paper pack, Candy Cane Christmas includes two patterns (this one dots and the other stripes) that come already with red glitter on one side.  The other patterns in the pack are nice too, but I know which ones will go first in my pack!  The image is from another set from the Holiday Mini, Merry Crittermas and the large circle behind the scallop is a new punch, 2 1/2" circle.
