How many retiring items

can you use on one card?  How about two colours and three stamp sets?  It does sound a bit busy doesn't it! Well, I really did use that many products for this card, but I used just one stamp from each set-and the sets are Short & Sweet, Charming and Medallion.  The colours, both retiring In Colours- Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.

Is this not a simple card?

Very Vanilla base and I stamped the Medallion on the right side using Blushing Bride ink.  The Pear Pizzazz center is from Charming and I punched it out using my  1 !/4" circle punch.  A mini banner for the sentiment popped up on dimensionals, finishes off the card.  Quick and easy.

Heat and Stick?

Have you ever tried our Heat & Stick powder?  It is with the embossing powders and probably something that you may have overlooked.  What is it and how do you use it?

It is just like a glue but goes on like an embossing powder-stamp; your image in Versamark, sprinkle with Heat & Stick powder, heat (make sure not to overheat-heat just till shiny and it is faster than regular embossing powder), sprinkle on glitter of your choice, tap off and then lightly heat again to set.  What do you end up  with-glitter that doesn't come off your page!

And alot of sparkle!  Can't see it? How about this picture-terrible focus but you get sparkle

I cased this card from one of the demos that got me interested in Stampin' Up, Tami White changing up the greeting, ribbon, and size.  Now the glitter is going to stay on the card but remember when using this technique to check in the mirror before you go out, I just don't know how it gets all over your face-but you will sparkle too!

And how about a Guy card

again using Early Expresso and Whisper White but something more masculine.

 Doesn't the Medallion stamp make quite a statement.  Like any other background or large stamp, I recommend inking up your stamp and setting it on the table inked side up, lay on your cardstock, then a piece of scratch paper and use your brayer and run over the paper.  This ensures even pressure on the stamp and a beautiful image.  The sentiment from Sincere Salutions, one of my favorite sentiment sets, is stamped in Early Expresso and then punched out with the Designer Label punch and layered onto the Decorative Label punch. 

Inside

 you bet, same stamp as yesterday, and yes, I put the set away!

Thinking of You

One thing about this beautiful background stamp Medallion, it can stand alone.  For this card using a piece of 5 x 5 Very Vanilla, I stamped the Medallion with Brilliant Blue Craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The corners are punched using the ticket corner punch and then layered onto a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 piece of Ruby Red that also is punched with the ticket corner punch.  The card base is Not Quite Navy cut at 5 1/2 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.  Thinking of You is from Hostess Level 3-Kind & CaringThoughts stamped in Brilliant Blue craft and embossed with clear embossing powder, punched out with the Scallop Oval punch and layered onto Ruby Red scallop oval from Punch windows dies.  Inside I carried through the Ticket corners

Giving lots of room for a note. Best of all, this card fits in the Medium square envelopes (107289).

And look, another challenging color

My goodness, two days in a row, now that's dedication.  The new In Colors are really growing on me, love Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and starting to be fond of Soft Suede, but there are two colors left.  Rich Razzleberry and Dusty Durango.  Today the color is Rich Razzleberry.  I toned it down with Whisper White Craft ink for the Medallion Background stamp.  Now to me, the white doesn't look white, but more a pale plum so I matted with Pale Plum and it really ties it all together.

Base: Whisper White 5 1/2 x 11 scored and folded at 5 1/2

Mat: Pale Plum 5 1/4 x 5 1/4

Image Panel: Rich Razzleberry 5 X 5 Stamp Medallion is Whisper White Craft ink and put aside to dry.

Using Rich Razzleberry ink, stamp Thank you from Oval All onto Pale Plum and Whisper White. Punch out  Whisper White with Scallopped Oval punch and then punch Pale Plum with Large oval punch and layer with dimensionals. 

Using a White Jumbo Grommet turned upside down center on Medallion and trace the center with a pencil.  Using your paper piercer, pierce holes to install grommet and push tabs flat with bone folder. Attach mat to card, then Medallion and using mini glue dots, attach knotted ribbon.  Attach sentiment to the side.
