This card was done for my Sketch Challenge over at SUDSOL-Stampin Up Demonstrations Sharing On Line-and of course, you know what stamp set I used.
Bermuda Bay and Very Vanilla. Scallop edge punch and a little ribbon, voila, another beauty.

that I loved the Happy Moments set from Sale-a-bration and you would see alot of it. And I used more of that beautiful Satin ribbon. Just look at the flat knots, now I don't know if it is my tying skills are improving or if it is just wonderful ribbon. Have you noticed a definite lack of Taffetta ribbon on this blog lately! I think this ribbon has definitely pushed Taffetta ribbon off top of my favorites, but it is definitely second.
Do you recognize the pattern on the vase? It is the spring from Out of the Box. The vase itself is just the large oval cut the top and bottom off and you have a vase. I stamped the flowers with Black Staz-on onto watercolor paper and then using my Aquapainter colored them in with Orchid Opulence and Gable Green and just a touch of Crushed Curry marker.

How is this for a bright gift card. Tempting Turquoise and Gable Green. Really the bright colors are just to throw you off from noticing the stamping. Now you are stopping and going back and taking another look, aren't you?
No the stamping isn't wrong or anything, but notice the flowers. I have mirrored the stamp so the one on the right is the way that the stamp stamps and the left side is the mirror. I find when mirroring, the mirrored stamped image is lighter so just stamp off once or twice and then stamp the regular image and they turn out pretty even.

I find mascaline cards are harder to make, I don't do too many darker color cards but Bashful Blue and Night of Navy is bright and perfect for a guy. The new Bashful Blue satin ribbon is so nice to work with and is just the touch this card needs. Again I have used the FREE Sale-a-bration set, Happy Moments, just love those presents!

And today, it's Soft Subtles but it still has pop. The base is Whisper White, with a strip of Certainly Celery scalloped edge punched and then Bashful Blue again with a scalloped edge. The flowers are embossed with gold embossing powder along with the sentiment.

How is that for bright and colorful? I also used the new Pretty in Pink sation ribbon from the Mini. It is so lovely to work with and tones down the Rich Razzleberry. For this card, I used textured cardstock for the base, and a few leftover bits of DSP in Regal Rose and then stamped the packages also on the DSP,cut them out and attached to the Whisper White circle. Now what do you do when you don't have a circle big enough to frame your image, punch another circle, cut it in half and stagger it so it partially frames your image. Now for the inside,
Whisper White with rounded corners, a little cupcake from Short & Sweet, and the sentiment it is from Happy Moments set as well.
