Hey Girlfriend,

Have you seen the stamp set, Hey Girlfriend inspired by April Lopez for her 1,000,000 set.  The set has beautiful sentiments, a mini dog and cat and three different girls.  Checkout this simple card,   Would this not be a perfect thank you, miss you or love you card? 

Flirty Flamingo was my colour today, from the Blends for the dress, the DSP and the card base.  Their colour coordination is where in my opinion is where Stampin' Up is better than any other company out there, The colours are always perfect no matter what you are using from colouring tools to ribbon.

Simple Stamping,

This set, A Touch of Ink, reminds me a lot of a really old Hostess set we had.  It too was a two step stamp, so you stamp the outline stamp and then add your fill in stamp.

This set is another Sale-a-bration set but it is a Level Two set so Free with $120 order.  It is quite a big set, you get 17 stamps, that include a Hummingbird, Butterfly, Flower and Leaves along with so really nice sentiments with this fabulous font.  I used our Notecards and Magenta Madness (yes, it is my favorite colour)

Snailed it

I do love this set, and since I work for the post office, mail is kind of my life!

Lots of layers on this card but it is a quick one to make.  I used lots of dies, Stitched Shapes, Stitched Rectangles and then the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the mat of the circle.  Now we do not have a Blushing Bride blend, but I mixed Petal Pink and Pink Pirouette (retired) and it certainly is close.  The little heart paper is from the Snail Mail DSP pack and it was my starting point for my colours.  Need a Valentine card, simple omit the sentiment part of the snail stamp and add a valentine stamp.

Wow,

it is the last full week of January.  It certainly has flown by.  It's been so cold here, really it is the first real cold snap of winter, so we really can't complain but gee, it is not my favorite type of weather.  So it is not a wonder that I am drawn to bright colours to remind me of sunshine and heat.

Again, I have used the fabulous Darling Donkeys and Field and Flower DSP, both Sale-a-bration Freebies.

Isn't is a summery feeling card?  I used Crushed Curry as my base and for a change I have a Crumb Cake donkey instead of my usual grey ones. Certainly a simple card but I think with the bright colours, simple is good.

Playful Pets Notecard

I have always said how great our Notecards & Envelope sets are and very economical, $9.50 for 20.  Add just a little DSP and an image and you have a great card.

I did add an extra layer of Whisper White to the front and have used Rooted in Nature for the sentiment, heat embossing it with our Gold powder and added that happy cat from Playful Pets DSP, a leftover strip of Calypso Coral DSP and a strip of Soft Suede and few flower sequins.

Yes, the Snails DSP rocks!

Not only are the images in the Snail Mail DSP super cute, the colours of the paper are so happy and bright. This suite uses Real Red, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray for a very spring like colour palette.  I for one need some happy colours around me at this time of the year.

And just check out those snails, cut directly from the DSP with our fabulous Paper Snips.  I also used You are Amazing for that great sentiment, this set is found on page 7 of the Mini up with the card kits but you can get just the stamp set if you want.  This is a great set with some lovely large sentiments, you know I like the large sentiments.

How about a break

From Christmas cards and a sneak peek from our January-June catalogue?  Since demos can preorder I did take advantage of that opportunity as I had a few credits to use up.  I didn't get much but I just had to get one stamp set and some DSP.  They are from a suite called Snail Mail and you guessed it, it has lots of Snails!  Cute Snails!

No stamping for this card, it is all DSP right down to the sentiment.  The paper is so cute, it is a mix of smaller background patterns like this mushroom one and then it has some big bold images that you can fussy cut out or when they are available (just waiting to hear) there are coordinating dies.  I used one of the labels from Hippo Happiness and sponged on a little Pool Party and Crumb Cake to make it look like they are on the ground.  The sentiment is from the back of the mushrooms and actually has English and  French but I used the French one as it was closest to the edge and the big snail looks French to me!  It must be that moustache!

And the last image

Ok this is my least favorite of the set, but man, it is still cute.  I also used the "star" image from the set to add something to the background. 

The DSP is again from the Flower & Field DSP pack and this pattern uses Just Jade and Basic Black.  The set also has It's your birthday! and You're the Best! sentiments so you get 8 stamps in the set.

Lots of Excitement ahead!

And yes, that is Crushed Curry card stock, again, what is up with me, I do not like this colour!  I always say, our DSP packs make me like colours I don't like and this DSP pack certainly does that.  The DSP is from Flower & Field DSP pack, another only can get it for FREE Saleabration choice. I used Memento ink and my Gray Granite, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party and Petal Pink blends to colour him.   What do you think, so cute, right?

Another Dragonfly Garden card.

Check out this beautiful flower image that is also in the Dragonfly Garden stamp set.

Again I have strayed from the colour palette that the Dragonfly suite is, I am needing some bright more springy colours, I know winter hasn't even started  yet!  I used Balmy Blue, Whisper White and Purple Posy, a lovely bright colour combination.  This is the other dragonfly that is in the set and the sentiments are all a combination of messy scrawl and neat printing. I used one of the dies from Ornate Frames set cutting it twice, once in Balmy Blue and once in 
Whisper White before performing surgery on the Balmy Blue to make it into a mat.
