Use your Colour Coach

try using your Colour Coach to choose the colours for your next card.  

Today we are using the Creative Combination for Wisteria Wonder, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade and Elegant, such a beautiful combination.

 This layout came form a old issue of Stampin' Success and I changed the colours and the stamp sets.  I haven't pulled Circle Circus out for awhile, and it is perfect for doing random stamping.  When doing random stamping, stamp from largest image to smallest and stamp over the edges to give it a natural feel.  I used my Stamp a Ma Jig to get the images in a lovely straight line down the side and the sentiment is from Bring on the Cake and punched out with the Designer Label punch.  The 5 petal Flower punch is used for the flower and the center is the largest punch from the Boho Blossoms.

Running around in Circles?

No, but that is the Sketch Challenge for SUDSOL this week.

For this card, I have used the retiring Cameo Coral and ran it through the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dot impressions folder.  Circle Circus is a great set with lots of different circular designs and I have stamped three different ones onto Whisper White with Chocolate Chip and punched out with various circle punches.  Some of the circles are matted with Chocolate Chip to ground them.

Texturize

I don't know about you, but I love cards with layers and textures.  Embossing is one of my favorites for adding texture to a card.  Today's card, has lots of clear embossing giving tone on tone texture.  I started with a piece of Melon Mambo textured cardstock making a 4 x 4 card.  A few designs from Circle Circus are stamped on the upper portion with Versamark and then clear embossed.  Happy Days from Happy Everything is stamped on Pretty in Pink with Versamark and then clear embossed.   Add a scalloped edge and some Very Vanilla Taffetta ribbon and this is what you get

Circle Circus gone flashy

I very rarely use products other than Stampin Up but this card is one.  I got the idea from Carla Brasher to use Gum Wrappers and what a WOW does it make.

The gum is Wrigley's Elixir, and my husband loves it, and I love the wrappers.  I used my Big Shot and the Little Leaves die and of course the hot pink wrappers.  They are very fragile but once glued into place are just fine.  The vase is one of the Circle Circus stamps that I stamped with Versamark and then Gold Embossing powder.  When working with Black especially, it is so important to rub your surface with your Embossing Buddy so you don't get stray bits.  I figured if I was being a deviant, I might as well really deviate and the gold matting isn't SU either.  It's a piece I had lying around and it just looked right with this card.  For the inside, I stamped a small circle on Very Vanilla.

 Well, I think I have finished being a deviant and tomorrow will go back to normal.

Casing Stampin Success

which as a Demonstrator, we get each month filled with information, ideas and tips.  This card was done in Melon Mambo as the base and I just reversed it. 

Just love the Melon Mambo, such a happy color, if colors are happy.

Happy Canada Day

Hope that you all have a wonderful Canada Day, with the weather we are supposed to have today, it should be good.  Getting up to 21C (that's 69.8F) is pretty good for here, could definitely use some heat, that is for sure, and tonight is forecasted as being clear, so that will be good for the fireworks.  

Besides Canada Day and fireworks celebrations, there is lots of excitement at Stampin' Up today.  That's right, the new Catalogue goes into effect at 12MT today and they have annouced July's Promotion.  Every week during the month of July, Stampin' Up! will offer one discounted product as a "Deal of the Week." No limits and no minimum purchase required.  So what is the deal this week, it is the Scalloped Edge Punch (112091) for $15.99 instead of $22.95.  The next deal of the week will be announced July 6, that's right, we don't know what it is going to be but it should be good.

With the new catalogue comes the new In Colors. Take a look at them all

and then the absolute best thing is In Color Markers.  How lucky are we!!  And all of these items are available for order this afternoon.  But we do have one problem, you can't order the ink pad or the reinker for the Bermuda Bay.  As you know, all of Stampin' Up's inks match their cardstock well, the Bermuda Bay has a problem, it doesn't.  The cardstock, ribbon and markers are perfect but the ink pad and reinker colors aren't so you can't order them for a little while.

Another Circle Circus stamp set card, boy am I loving this set.  How's that for a eye popper? Guess I should of warned you, but it's more fun this way! For this card i used a baby wipe as my stamp pad so that the images would have two colors, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.  How cool is that!

Ok, it's sneak peek time

Since the new Catalog will be available tomorrow, I think you deserve a peek of what is behind that beautiful matte cover.   The new In Colors are gorgeous and I have used two of them on this card along with a new stamp set and ribbon.

Circle Circus is the stamp set and has 10 different circle stamps.  For this card I have used 7 of the ten so you can see there is quite an assortment.  Colors are Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry, both very bold but lovely.  Take a look at the ribbon, it's the new 1/2" Polka Dot Grograin, really nice and the polka dots are on one side only so you really get two ribbons for the price of one.
