I love cards with lots of layers and when I saw a card similar to this one in a old Cardmaker magazine, I knew I could make something similar. I started with our Doily Die. Now my Big Shot has always been tight and for this die especially I am appreciative. As with any delicate die, sometimes the pieces need a bit of persuasion to remove but the tighter the sandwich the better the cut. I cut this one out of Whisper White cardstock and yes, I did not remove all the pieces, I mean they are covered up right. The doily is about 4 1/4 square so I needed a big card, 5 1/2 square so I could use the entire doily. The flowers are coloured using the layering marker technique and then punched out with our 2 1/2" circle punch. I then cut a Baja Breeze 2 3/4 circle with my Circle Scissor. A Whisper White taffeta faux bow (I love using brads to make bows) attached with a Pool Party brad that also holds the greeting in place. (It's a retired hostess set-one day I may clean out my retired sets)
The Designer Papers are all from Attic Bputoque , I am maybe rethinking my use of the script piece-just noticed it is Very Vanilla! A couple of Basic Rhinestones top and bottom finish it off.
Happy Stamping,
