My husband lost his Marbles

and look what I did with them. Marble background technique.

 So easy, I used Soft Suede and Melon Mambo refills, 14 marbles and two stampin up stamp cases. Simple technique that packs alot of punch.

Here is the card using my favorite stamp set Bloomin Beautiful, I just can't seem to get enough of that flower.  The Whisper White is textured with Backgrounds 1 texture plates with large dots

Tri Fold Shutter Cards

Are really easy to make but don't they pack a punch. These cards are for my nieces baptism on August 23rd.  Since they are identical twins, I have made two pretty darn close to identical cards, I didn't paper pierce the second one as I really wasn't sure that I liked it.

Bloomin Beautiful New Colors

Today I used a color that I always have trouble with, anything in the orange family.  To me it is fall, and that is my least favorite season. This year I bought the ink pad, reinkers, cardstock and ribbon in Dusty Durango as a way to guilt me into using it.  I must say I like Dusty Durango better than Tangerine Tango but no where near as much as Groovy Guava.  I guess Grooy Guava was more pinkish than orange and that is probably the reason. I like the results I got this time, not too fall like.

 The design is not mine but one of Andrea Walford's.  I used Dusty Durango and lightened it up with Crushed Curry DSP.

I am so happy that

they didn't retire this set,  Bloomin' Beautiful. I have loved this set for a long time but never got it  until now so you will be seeing alot of it.

For this card I have used some the retiring colors, took me so long to like Baja Breeze and now it's leaving.  Ok, for this card I started with a piece of Very Vanilla 4 1/2 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.  Two strips of Chocolate Chip 3/4 x 4 1/2 are tucked under a 4 1/4 x 3 3/4" piece of To the Nines Specialty DSP.  The flower pot is stamped with Basic Brown Classic ink onto a 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 piece of Watercolor paper.  I then used Chocolate chip marker for the pot, Always Artichoke for the leaves, the flowers were done with Baja Breeze ink and my aquapainter, then the centers dotted with Lavender Lace marker. Using my aquapainter I pulled the color around as I wanted it.  Ticket corner punch all four corners on the Watercolor Paper and on the 3 x 3 Chocolate Chip and layer together.  Baja Breeze was cut at 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 and then all attached to the DSP.  That simple.
