This is another die that has carried over and I am so glad, this is an incredible little box so easy to transform into animals, make fancy with paper and embellishments or even turn into a trailer. Yes, you did read that right! My dear friend T when she was here, needed a sweet favour for her party on the weekend and since it was being held at a campground and they all have trailers what better favour could we come up with. The genius behind this is Andrea, fellow SU demo, you can check out her creation here.
Here are just two of the trailers we made, a few we matched up the colour with the trailers that people own. It was a definite assembly line making 10 of these! Lots of little pieces but lots of fun.
Well, it's pretty hard to feel that way when something this cute is looking at you!
Saw this on Pinterest (isn't it a great idea place and a way to lose hours!) and cased it. Here is the link for the original creator of this cute little guy,https://www.pinterest.com/pin/333196072404525316/. This was one of the projects we made in the craftroom when my friend T was visiting. We wanted to make something with the Hamburger Die, a did bit of Pinteresting for inspiration. We used Calypso Coral cardstock for the crab, various punches and our paper snips to make the legs. As with any 3D items that is going to get opened and closed, it is important to use a strong adhesive, and did you see Stampin' Up now has Tear and Tape-sticky strip without the red liner and it rips instead of having to cut it-so great!
Spiral Flower Originals die is the easiest way to make perfect Paper Flowers. Embellish gifts, cards or home decor items with a run through the Big Shot, a little bone folder curling and your glue gun or mini glue dots, you will be a flower creation expert in no time.
New Mini means New Bundles. One of the new bundles, Perfect Pennants & Banner Framelits, gives you a 15% discount whether you like wood mount sets (my personal favorite with sentiment sets) or clear mount sets. Check out the video
With our Gift Bow BIgz L die and our Extra Large Gift boxes and a little Designer Series Paper, you can take an ordinary gift to new heights.
The DSP is from Gingham Garden pack and it's really not my style, the flowers are just too big for a card, but on this box, they are the perfect sie. I pulled the Melon Mambo for the bow using up a sheet of retired DSP
Start with one pass through the Big Shot cutting all the pieces and then using 2" strips cut three more of the biggest piece and then cut two extra tails. Use your Bone Folder to break down the fibers on the DSP for easy curling and use our Mini Glue dots to put the bow together in a snap.

I think, make very elegant cards. Just like this card I got in a swap from Brenda Cash. She used the stamp sets, Everything Eleanor for the flourishes and then Beautiful Wings embosslits for the butterflies. But what really makes this card this card pop is the way she highlighted the sentiment from Petite Pairs by using her Big Shot and the Designer Frames embossing folder.
to your packages this Christmas will be a cinch, thanks to a wonderful new die, Gift Box Bigz L Die

The die cuts the pieces and with a little sticky strip or some mini glue dots, you make the bow. Now you can make a single bow just like in the above picture or make a single bow with a little added pizzazz
I added a Basic Black scalloped circle under the bow and made a flower using Basic Black and our 7/8" scallop punch and attached them together with one of our Basic Black Glimmer brads.
and what about making a double bow, all you have to do is crank the die through the Big Shot one more time!
This time I used a Faceted button in the center and a large rhinestone in the center. So quick, so easy!
Have you tried the Stampin' Up's Pop 'n Cuts dies? We have the card base and so far only two inserts, the Dress form and the Label . How they work is you cut a card base using the die and then add the insert to the the die and run another piece through the Big Shot to create the inside of the card.
Now for todays card, I used the insert for the inside of the card but used just a standard 4 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock scored at 5 1/2.
I used a Whisper White card base, adding a mat of Melon Mambo and then a Whisper White layer with silver embossed lines from Gorgeous Grundge, sentiment from Remembering you on your Birthday and then a little cupcake from the Best of Birthday set. Now when you open the card as I didn't use the die to make the outside of the card
you still get the curvy top and the slits on the bottom that are designed to hold the card closed, but will just a couple of strips of paper, the top is covered and the bottom becomes a gift card holder
I used the Deco Labels framelits to cut the sentiment panel, notice how it layers perfectly with the die (it's just like it was designed) and then my Cupcake Builder punch to make the cupcakes and the used our window sheets to attach them to the back of the label.
You can order from the new Catalogue today! And for the first time ever, we have a wonderful benefit of overlapping catalogues, you can order from the Occasions Mini, the old catalogue and the new catalogue, for one day!
If you haven't seen the new catalogue, it is filled with lots of new and fabulous stuff along with some of my favorite items from previous catalogues and minis. One item I am happy to see continuing and the line growing, is the Pop n' Cuts line. It may its debut in the Spring Occasions with the base and dress form pop n' Cuts. Well, in the new catalogue they have a new insert, Label Pop 'n Cuts, I am so looking forward to ordering that.
130099 $48.95 This die cuts the card base and is magnetic so that it holds the inserts securely in place.
In order to use the inserts, you need the Card Base die but what is great about the this card base you can use it for more than just the base for this insert dies. I have shown before how I used the base to make a gift card holder, but now, how about a box
Just add six score lines and two sides and you get a beautiful little box that holds itself closed. Doesn't it remind you of our old Box #2 diecut? For the box I used some returning products along with new stuff. Returning is the Bermuda Bay cardstock for the box itself and then the lighter panel is our new In Colour, Coastal Cabana, don't they go beautifully together. I used Versamark and an image from Bright Blossoms for a subtle background. The banner shows one of our new stamp sets, Really Good Greetings,
stamped in another new In Colour, Strawberry Slush. The flower is super easy to make using our Scalloped Circle punch. I punched two Strawberry Slush scallops using our 7/8" Scallop punch and two Raspberry Ripple scallops using our 1 1/4" Scallop punch. Simply cut in about 1/4" between each scallop to give your petals dimension and layer them using dimensionals.
When the Spring Occasions Mini came out there were alot of new and fabulous things in it, and one thing that I just thought, gee, I would never use that. Now, from past experiences, I should know, never say never. I have seen so many cool things with this "thing" I didn't want, so I finally thought, what is wrong with you, get it. Now I didn't get the entire bundle but I got the main piece. And just what am I talking about----Card Base Pop n' Cuts. Page 32 on in the mini, consisting of
The base 130099 $48.95 Now just so you know this is an investment, there is only one insert so far, but I have a feeling, this is just the beginning of this line. This makes the card base, complete with the fancy edges and little slots to tuck the fancy in making the card stay closed.
Now I didn't get this insert
130100 $26.95
Nor, the framelits (kind of kicking myself here- I really think I should get them) or the All Dressed Up stamp set
131101 $30.95
Ok, what did I make with the Base- a gift card holder. That is right, just add a couple of score lines and voila, you have an beautiful gift card holder.
How is that for some fancy packaging? Now this was not my idea, I told you, I have seen so many cool things made with this die. The one who designed this fabulous holder, Australia's Tanya Bell. I used Perfect Plum for my base and highlighted with Pretty in Pink and our wonderful Gold embossing powder. The butterflies are from Papllion Potpourri and the sentiment Beautiful Birthday . So flip up the top
to reveal the pocket that holds
a insert with your gift card.
Simply score your diiiie cut piece(starting at the bottom flat part) at 1, 3 3/4 and 8 1/4 and create this holder.
