Happy Monday

How are you feeling with losing that hour of sleep?  Got to love daylight savings time, an extra hour of light, but hate the first few days as our bodies adjust to it.  But, it also means spring is just around the corner and we will be getting some long days and lots of sunshine(ok, hopefully that part!)

How about a card, cause that is what you really came for?  This card was a challenge card on SUDSOL, case a card in the Stampin' Success magazine that all demonstrators get. Now this is a card type I love, lots of layers. The card uses Apothecary Art stamp set and the original was done using Soft Suede as the main colour.  So to brighten it up, how about Poppy Parade

That is bright don't you think?  I used Attic Boutique for the DSP choosing a very soft pattern without too much colour and then little strips of Pear Pizzazz to help tone down the Poppy Parade.  Yes, the stamp image is actually upside down, I know I had to check the sample and the mini just incase I was being batty.  I love it this way, yet again proving that we must remember to think outside the box. Now the sentiment is heat embossed with Silver embossing powder to help tie it in with the Rhinestone brad that holds the Boho Blossom flower together.  Early Expresso Baker's twine, another label cut with the Labels Framelits,so many elements on one card, but it doesn't look cluttered.

Apothecary Art

Today I have another Swap card to share with you.  This one is another from Carol Matthews, a fellow Canadian demo and she has used the smallest stamp in Apothercary Art.  

And like all the other stamps in this set, it has a matching Labels Framelit to quickly cut it out.  Carol did stamp the image once in Garden Green and that was the image she used the framelit die for then she stamped the image again in Wild Wasabi and used her 1" circle punch to punch out the center image and attached it to the label with a dimensional after adding a bit of colour to the flowers with her Blushing Bride marker.

Yellow Roses

I am loving the set, Apothecary Art, it makes such beautiful cards with very little effort.  It makes a perfect Sympathy card when paired with the set, Loving Thoughts.  The sentiments in this set fit the two larger stamps in Apothecary Art perfectly.

I used Black Stazon to stamp the image onto Vellum cardstock and coloured in the roses with my So Saffronl marker on the back of the vellum so that the images have a soft look. I then layered it onto Whisper White.  I used my Labels Framelits to make the frame in Always Artichoke and then layered it onto a So Saffron mat also cut with the Labels Framelits that I embossed with the Lattice Impressions folder.  The card has been stamped with the Netting Background stamp using So Saffron again softening the overall card.

Turn something good

into something Great!  I love my cuppa tea so I think giving a box of tea to a friend is a nice thing but truthfully giving a gift that looks like this, while it maybe fabulous tea, it is a bit boring.

So let's make it a bit more appealing!

Which would you prefer to get as a gift?  I used Calypso Coral for the box and then that gorgeous Attic Boutique DSP.  A bit of pleated Blush Blossom ribbon and then Apothecary stamp set for the label.   The tea bags are dispensed from the bottom

Today is the day

You can order from our new Occasions Mini, chock full of fabulous goodies. I don't think I have a favorite, there are just too many great things.  Like our new Framelits-fabulous, check out this card

 
I used Textured Chocolate Chip cardstock for the base and using the medium sized Labels die I laid it on the Chocolate Chip so easy to place your image evenly and ran it through the Big Shot.  I stamped the image from Apothecary Art using Black Stazon onto Very Vanilla colouring in with my blender pen and ink pads.

and attached it to the underside of the Chocolate Chip card using dimensionals.  A few of of Basic Pearls highlight the sentiment from Three Little Words.

Now more than ever, you can create a WOW with very little effort!

Let's make it easy on your loved ones
