Welcome to our Celebration hop. There are so many reasons to celebrate and in the world today, I think that we really need to remember those special events in others lives, while we can't hold a big celebration, we can give them a beautiful card and or gift and show them that they are special and we remember their special day. Hopefully next year, we shall be able to return to celebrating in person.
I am a big fan of making super easy, quick cards that look like you worked really hard. You know just like Rice Krispie treats, super easy but don't tell anyone! I am loving the Expressions in Ink Suite. This collection is perfect for my quick and easy cards. Beautiful colours with gold-definite celebration right?
I used a Polished Pink card base and then on my Basic White layer, I stamped the images and then overlayed the beautiful large diecut. Notice that the images are not perfectly placed behind the overlay, that is fine, it gives it a more artsy look.
I added the Polished Pink sentiment strip with the gold embossed Happy Birthday and a few In Colour jewels and done.
Next I have a candy bar box, again, simple, I have made a ton on these over the years, such a great way to up the wow factor. Take a $2 chocolate bar and 20 minutes (or less) and you have a WOW gift. I used Polished Pink for the base and then piece of Expressions in Ink DSP matted with Basic Black. The sentiment is Gold heat embossed onto a piece of Vellum and cut out with the Tasteful Labels dies. Added a gold butterfly that was sitting on my desk and a couple of jewels and a bright ribbon and it is done.
Simple to make and guaranteed to make someone smile.
