Last day of September

Three quarters of the year done. And truthfully, I think most of us all want 2020 to be over!  Today is the last day of Stampin' Up's recruitment bonus, where you get two free stamp sets and two cardstock kits that make 8 cards each when you sign up to be a discount shopper or a demo, you can even get all your goodies and drop, keep everything and have fun stamping.  And since you get to choose $165 worth of products for $135 with Free shipping, you can certainly get some great stuff.  

Today I have a very fall feeling card made with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  Yes, you can get a die set with the stamps but I got just the stamp set, it really isn't hard to fussy cut out the flowers

In my opinion, this set really designed to be coloured, yes, you can definitely stamp on coloured card stock but the flowers really come alive when coloured with our blends.  I used Mango Melody, Cinnamon Cider, Granny Apple Green and  Soft Suede  both dark and light for all the colours and then our Bronze marker for a little extra depth.  The lovely messy script for the sentiment is from Tasteful Touches stamp set and a little leftover strip of black dotted stickers from our June Paper Pumpkin.

Easy to make

These boxes have been around forever, it's the 2,4,6,8 box.  The measurements you never can forget width is 8 1/2 inches, so the size of your card stock and you score every two inches.  Now, this where things change  is your height of the box. , You decide, for this one I wanted a 3" box and I wanted to be able to open and close the box.  So 2 + 3 + 2 +1/2 for the tab is 7 1/2 so the card stock is 8 1/2 x 7 1/2- easy right? Score the  7 1/2" side at 2, 5, 7 and that's it.  Cut your flaps as it any other packaging, glue with Stampi' Seal Plus or Tear and tape, and decorate.

For this box, I used the Playful Patterns DSP and then the sentiment is from the June Paper Pumpkin kit.  Inside, the box fits 4 Lindor balls, a perfect little gift for anyone.

It's Monday!

And we might as well start the week bright!  It isn't surprising that I love the bright colours and here are my favourite three together, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.  I used to love Melon Mambo, I thought it was bright but gee, since Magenta Madness came to being, that is my pink of choice.  And with my favourite colours, who else should appear but my lovely Ostrich from From All of Us and the sentiment is from Dressed to Impress.

And I have use the scrappy technique again, such an easy technique to that makes such a statement.  Have a great Monday!

Well, have you liked the cards that I have shown this week using the same pieces that are int he card kit that you get for free when you join Stampin Up in September?  The card today uses the same card kit as yesterday

Again I used the To a Wild Rose stamp set and the Bermuda Bay ink pad.  The Daffodil Delight pieced was cut into two and then I put one piece of either side of the image panel.

I hope that I have showed you the unlimited layout possibilities that you can create with the kit.  I just made 5 cards, you get sixteen card kits, eight of each.  What to know more, shoot me a email and lets talk.  Have a wonderful weekend and stamp a little!

The second card kit

uses a Granny Apple Green card base and pieces of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight.  Again I used the Whale Done stamp set and the Seabed Embossing folder.and Bermuda Bay ink pad.

Super easy card but super cute.  Used the Whale punch and then my paper snips to cut the fishtail banner.

And again, same cardstock pieces

But a totally different card changing the stamp set to Whale Done stamp set and changing the layout.

This time I used the Seabed 3D embossing folder on the Bermuda Bay piece, added Bermuda Bay seaweed to the Coastal Cabana card base and again adjusted the size of the Daffodil Delight and Whisper White pieces to fit my whale and sentiment.  This time I used Memento Black ink along with the Bermuda Bay ink. Suppose you didn't have the embossing folder or a Stampin' Emboss machine, stamp the Bermuda Bay piece.  The pieces of cardstock are perfect. easy to change the whole feel of the card.  Tomorrow, I will use the other pack.

Way to Goat

Today I have used Way to Goat and the exact same pieces of cardstock as yesterday and check out the different feel of the card

All I did was cut the Bermuda Bay piece on a diagonal and left the Whisper White and Daffodil Delight pieces at the size in the kit. The sentiment is from To a Wild Rose and I used my Blends to add some colour to the goat.The card kit that Stampin' Up is giving you is designed so you can go out and have a workshop(show your friends how to make a card) but you certainly do not have to have, you can just make 16 cards and keep them or mail them out to brighten someones day.

Happy Monday

Hope that you had a wonderful weekend.  We have a thunderstorm on Saturday night with torrential rain and today we awoke to clear skies and sunshine- smoke gone!  It was certainly a glorious day.  

A couple of weeks ago I told you about the special that Stampin' UP is having if you sign up to be a demonstrator or discount shopper where you get the Starter kit with $165  of products with free shipping for $135 and you get two stamp sets, a sheet of rhinestones and a kit of perfect card stock that makes 16 cards.  You choose what your starter kit contains and you can drop at anytime with no penalties, you keep everything.  So I decided to show you a week of cards that I made using the card kit that they give you.  I do not have the stamp sets so I used sets I have.  The colours that are in the kit are Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight so great colours.  The first card I made is Cased from the cards that Stampin' Up showed.

I used To a Wild Rose stamp set.

I simply cut the Bermuda Bay piece into one inch strips and adjusted the Whisper White and Daffodil Delight pieces to fit my sentiment  The only thing you need to add is a Bermuda Bay ink pad, paper cutter and adhesive-things you can add to your kit.  Really simple card but it is beautiful.  Tomorrow I will use the exact same pieces and show you a totally difference card.

It's Friday!

Final card of the week I have used more Playful Patterns DSP and Hippo Happiness set.  

I will say that I certainly would not of thought of putting Calypso Coral and Purple Posy together but hey, our Stampin' Up designers know what they are doing so here you go.  And it doesn't look bad.  I used the coordinating framelits that come with the Hippo Happiness set, it has the most fabulous labels included in the set.

Everybody's doing it

Slimline cards that is.  8 1/2 x 3 1/2 is the size that I have made my card, cutting my regular piece of thick Whisper White leaving a piece 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 perfect for another odd sized card.  I have used Playful Patterns DSP and yes, it is just a 6 x 6 paper pack, I have hidden the seam in the DSP under my focal image.

 

Our happy little elephant from Zoo Globe is back and I used the spolch image from Painted Poppies for the background
