Rainbow Glimmer Paper

When they retired all of our Glimmer Papers last year, I was very sad.  I love Glimmer paper, and then in the new catalogue, they have Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  Hmmm, not really my thing.  Well, happened to see a full sheet and gee, I've changed my mind.  Now I still think the Sparkle Glimmer paper is the best one ever, this one is certainly right up there.  Check out the Granny Apple Green fading to Coastal Cabana

Isn't it GORGEOUS?  The sheet has beautiful Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and is so easy to die cut, punch or cut with your cutter.  And the best part, the glitter doesn't shed, stays on it and not on your hands, your  face. your clothes.  I used the Hippo Happiness set for this card, again animals!  Now I know unicorns aren't really animals, but don't tell my granddaughter, she loves them.  And just what do you think the sentiment means, when in doubt, disappear?  Have a great Monday,

Many Layered Blossoms

Check out this beautiful card I received from Australia's Nita Wainwright-Smith using the Many Layered Blossoms dies.  

That's right only one stamp the rest is all die cuts. Isn't this such a gorgeous die?    Nita layered the two main dies, to make this beautiful card.

Sponging & Embossing

I love Embossing and add sponging to your embossing and you get a great technique called Emboss Resist, where you have embossed ink will not stick.  Just like the snowflakes on this card.  First I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and clear embossed, added a Post It note to the bottom of the card then sponged on Misty Moonlight .  Now I have snowflakes falling and an ice surface.

The polar bear from Warm & Toasty is fussy cut and sentiment is from Snowman Season.  Hmm, two cards for Christmas made, how many to go?

Whale Done

Just one stamp for today's card and that is the sentiment, all the rest of the work is done by this beautiful DSP.  Again, I am using Pretty Peacock, I say that DSP makes you use your colours and once again it is true.  This DSP pack is so fabulous, patterns, large prints, and gorgeous colours.

How do you use large prints?

Warm & Toasty

Carrying on with my love of animal stamp, have you noticed the Warm & Toasty set in the Holiday mini?  Again, animals so I just had to have it.  The set has Polar Bear,s Rudolph and mice along with some sentiments and some snowflakes.   

Today I have a card that will be part of my Christmas card class.  The card it simple, easy to reproduce but looks great.  Check out that beautiful Balmy Blue Glimmer paper and those snowflake sequins, they are what (in my opinion) take this card to that next level.

The polar bear is stamped with Memento and coloured with my Dark Purple Posy and light Misty Moonlight and outlined with the Light Pool Party blend.

Wow, it's Monday again!  Did the weekend fly by for you too?  

Have you checked out the Whale Done bundle, a beautiful stamp set and coordinating punch?  And there is even great DSP that coordinates with the set.

Aren't these colours beautiful together, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock.  Yes I am really starting to like Pretty Peacock, it is a bright colour and I do love Bright Colours.    Very simple card, the DSP does all the work and the sentiment rectangle and whale finish it off.  Got to love easy cards!

It's Friday!

Ready for a fabulous weekend, I am!  What have you thought of the Zoo Globe stamp set?  Isn't it a super cute set?  Last card for the week, of course, I had to use my favourite image, the elephant.

Coastal Cabana, love this happy colour.  I sponged a little onto the image panel and added my sentiment and fussy cut the elephant and bird before attaching them with dimensionals.  It is so nice having the mini dimensionals, they are perfect for the bird.

Just a Notecard

I love notecards, small 3 1/2 x 5 so you don't have to write a lot in the them but the receiver knows that you are thinking of them.  Stampin' Up! sells beautiful Whisper White and Very Vanilla ones with envelopes for a great price, $9.50 for a pack of 20, you can't beat that price.  But sometimes you need colour, so just chop your paper to size and you can have any colour of notecard you want.  Today I wanted Shaded Spruce and that looked just a bit plain so I inked up my Tasteful Textile embossing folder with Versamark ink, inserted my card and ran over it with a block to end up with this wonderful patchy look.

The kangaroo is stamped with Memento and coloured with the Crumb Cake blend Duo.  Added a little vellum oval over the Shaded Spruce oval and some beautiful DSP from Forever Fern DSP pack.

Stick your neck out

and have a great day! The yellow in this card reminds me of sunshine and hey, that in itself make me have a fabulous day.  I love sunshine!  

I used a piece of DSP from Flowers for all Seasons pack and even though it is roses I think it works. The paper has enough colour variations that gives interest to the background and pulls the Mango Melody from the Giraffes.  A little Misty Moonlight sponging behind the giraffes helps to ground them and a few Champagne Rhinestones finish off the card.

Thanks for Being you

Wouldn't you love to get this cute card in the post?  Today I have used one of our Whisper White notecards as my card base.I love bright colours so Granny Apple Green is one of my faves.  I used this print from the Brights DSP pack and using Basic Black with white heat embossing really makes the sentiment from Free as a Bird pop off the page.

Since Zoo Globe is a clear photopolymer set, it makes for easy line up of the koala in the tree, got to love it when things are easy.  Remember we used to have to use the Stamp a ma Jig to line things up.  My I loved that tool, it lived on my desk but I will say Photopolymer makes line up fast and easy.
