Other than "man" cards, I find Sympathy cards are hard to make. I have said it before, one should really have a stash of Sympathy cards on hand so when you need one, you just don't have to make it. Myself, I find that I am just not creative when I need one. Unfortunately, I had used up my stash (another sign of my aging!) when a very close friend passed. I really had a hard time making a card for his wife. Finally I did and was pleased with the results.
In my mind, simple was the way to go and what could be simpler than black & white with a few layers. The flower is from Butterfly Basics and the sentiment is an old one, As Close as a Memory, one set that is always in my stamp cupboard. Love our Basic Black Archival ink for clear, crisp stamping.
And of course, the envelope too needs a little dressing up.
Happy Stamping,
