When you read that title, do you think of Huey Lewis & the News? Yes, we are showing our age, aren't we?
If you make 4 1/4" square cards, they fit in your standard envelopes and cost the same for mailing, win-win I say. I have been reinking a few of my ink pads lately, they seem to be needing a drink, especially my Black Stazon pads, I guess I have been using them alot! So today I decided on the card I was making, cut everything up and inked my focal point and put it to the side to dry. Assemble the card from the bottom up and do my little bit of colouring. So the last thing I have to put on my square card, the square in the middle with the image.
Yep, that is beautiful Black Stazon on the bright Daffodil Delight DSP and the little smudge on the "e". Ok I'll just restamp the center and the other black smudge we won't worry about. Well, 4 times I stamp it, three times with problems, off center the first time, perfect the second, turn it over to add some glue and what? How did I get big black smudges- well, here is a word of advice for you-- when you test stamp your image, do not do it at the bottom of your grid paper, use the top, away from where you are working!!!! Third time off center and then the fourth time, perfect, pick up my marker and colour the onsies. Notice anything?
Yep, grabbed the Crushed Curry Marker instead of the Daffodil Delight. I think the card is just fine and time for a drink! Ever had this much trouble making a card?
Happy Stamping,
