I don't know about you but I have a hard time finding the edge of my Big Shot dies, what I mean is where the cutting lines are so that I don't end up with half a circle etc. Here is a die
Now this one is the Big XL Flower Folds die that has four different flowers that you can cut. Now if you wanted to cut all four out of the same paper no problem, just put on a 6 x 12 piece of paper, and you are good to go. Now what if you just want one of the flowers, that is where my problem begins. It is hard to see the edges of where each flower is. So what I used to do is use my White Gel Pen and put marks on the edges so I could line things up, just like this Scallop Envelope Die.
Now it worked but then a fellow demo, Kay Kalthoff shared a tip that she learned at leadership.
Now those stand out! Use Avery self adhesive full sheets, cut to size, remove backing and attach to the die. Run the die through the Big Shot and using your paper piecer, remove the cut pieces. Now the edges of each piece can clearly be seen and I also measured and wrote on the size of cardstock required for each individual die cut. Is this the best tip or what?
Happy Stamping,
