My friend Sara came over the other day for some fun cardmaking. Here is a card we made perfect for Easter.
Aren't these so cute and boy, are they easy to make. We started with 4 x 8 Certainly Celery base and then another piece of Certainly Celery 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 which we ran through the Big Shot using Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder. Here is a close up
The faux bow of Satin ribbon is created by simply making a circle of ribbon and attaching the ends together then using a button and Hemp twine to cinch it in the center making a perfect bow but so easy. This bow is then attached with a glue dot to the base ribbon. The rabbit from Picnic Parade, a Level 2 Hostess set from the Occasions Mini is stamped with Black Stazon and colored with blender pens and ink pads to achieve that soft look. Punched with the Scallop Circle and then the edges were sponged to soften the look again. And we made the envelopes as the cards are 4 x 4 and a bit fat due to the ribbon button detail so a custom envelope is easy and solves all the issues. We used Whisper White for the envelope as it is a bit thinner than regular cardstock so it really folds well and then we added a strip of Certainly Celery DSP and a bit of stamping
Now, are they perfect Easter cards?
Happy Stamping,
