If you haven't tried making a Easel Card yet, you really have got to try it. They are so easy and have that WOW that we all want when we make a card. It doesn't really matter what size you make, the formula is the same. Here is my card
I am showing you the side angle first so that what I type here will make sense. My card is 4 X 4 and I used a piece of Bashful Blue 4 X 4 and a piece 4 X 8. Now the 4 x 8 piece got scored at 2" and 4 " and valley folded then you stick the 4 x 4 piece on the first fold. Decorate how you want and on the base, use dimensionals, brads, buttons whatever to create a stop for the easel. If you wanted to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card, start with a piece 4 1/4 x 11, score at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2 and your other piece would be 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
Here is the front view
I used the Hostess Level 2 from the Holiday Mini, Snow Buddies and the background snowflakes are stamped with Versamark and embossed using Irridescent Ice. The snow mounds are torn pieces of Whisper White, then I ran the edge through my Versamark pad, and also embossed with Irridescent Ice. The greeting is from Many Merry Messages and is matted with Night of Navy and then attached using dimensionals.
Now you know you got to try it, so easy and it will empress your critics!
Happy Stamping
Elaine
