Now, I am not a Halloween person, but this stamp set just jumped off the page and said Buy Me. It is from the Mini and it will really be cute on packaging that's for sure.  I could not decide which card I liked the best so, how about you decide. 

What about the DSP, it is also in the Mini, Night & Day Specialty and has some really nice prints plus two window sheets with Black dots.  Here is the inside of this card

Didn't know if I should color the chick or not so just colored the pumpkin basket.

Delightful Decorations

In case you have heard or received your Holiday Mini, here is a sneak peak.  All I can say is we are all in trouble with this mini, it is so loaded with beautiful sets, paper, ribbons, and dies.  Good thing it is around for 4 months.

This card is made with the set Delightful Decorations and the best part(yes, Sherryl, you were right), a punch that cuts out the decoration.

 What do you think of the Designer paper, beautiful.  Ok, it's not in the Mini, but in the Big Catalogue.  What, you don't remember seeing it, it is on page 158, the Speciality Paper, Bride (115669).  Ever since Linda showed us how to do this technique, this paper has been on my list. Now, the paper is gorgeous just by itself, but now it is Wow. Cut to size and use a sponge or a dauber and sponge on Classic Ink. After  you have covered the paper, buff with a soft cloth. The foil resists the ink and leaves you with beautiful paper.  The ornaments are all embossed but I did not have any silver embossing powder so I stamped the ornaments with my Silver Encore pad (101039) and then used clear embossing powder.  It isn't quite the same but does give a neat effect

Kind of textured but cool.

Recipe: Cardstock:Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Brushed Silver (100712), Bridal Specialty Paper Ink:Silver Encore, Bashful Blue, Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Ornament Punch, Mover & Shapers Punch Windows, Vintage Brads silver, Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Mini Glue dots, Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder Stamps: Short & Sweet, Delightful Decorations.

Still more, All in the Family

 Making a cute kid's Birthday card.  Very simple but bright.

How about spending the weekend at the beach and having some fun?

This card uses several different but easy techniques-Embossing, brayering, masking. The stamp set used is Surf's Up. 

1. Using Glossy White cardstock, stamp the waves in Craft Brilliant Blue and emboss with clear embossing powder.  

2.Use a blender pen and color the waves with Classic Brilliant Blue.

3.Masked the waves and stamp the Surfboards in Pink Passion and Green Galore.

4. Using your Versamark pen color surfboards and waves.

5. Using your brayer and Bashful Blue brayer the entire surface then wipe with a paper towel to remove any ink from the versamark covered surfaces.

6. Punch a YoYo Yellow Scalloped circle and attach with Dotto to a piece of scrap.  Punch again with the scallop punch turning the scallop on half turn.

7. Stamp Surf's Up in Classic Brilliant Blue on Whisper White and punch with a 1" circle and layer on scallop.

8. Make card base using Brilliant Blue, layer with Whisper White and then stamped image.

Surf's up

Another stamp set from the Growing up section, but this one is more for anyone over 12 and under 30 (over 30 we hurt too much for too long)

This card actually uses three sets, Extreme Surfboard,Extreme Elements and Just Surfing.  First I stamped the Extreme Element in Bashful Blue then using my Stamp a ma Jig, stamped the Surfer in Brilliant Blue Craft ink and then clear embossed it.  The matting is Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue so it really pops the image.  The waves at the bottom were from September's Stamping Success, a magazine that all demos get.  Turn your oval punch on a angle, and punch along the entire edge of your cardstock.  The sentiment is from Just Surfing, stamped in Brilliant Blue ink onto Bashful Blue punched with the small oval punch layered onto Brilliant Blue punched with the large oval.

Teddy & Train

 Here is another set from the Growing Up section. The teddy is just so cute and wonderful to watercolor and  my watercoloring is getting better.

I colored with my watercolor pencils and my aqua painter. I used Gold embossing powder and the clothes pin and sentiment from Short & Sweet and the rattle is from Teddy & Train.

Recipe: Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Tempting Turquoise, Watercolor Paper, Ink:Black Staz-on, Versamark. Accessories: Gold embossing, Dimensionals, Modern Label Punch, Movers & Shapers Windows.

Under the Stars

 Is another cute set from the Growning Up section.  For this card, I attached the Old Olive card stock to Very Vanilla and then put it through the Big Shot with the Movers and Shapers die.  This cut and scored the card and cut the window in the front.  And inside

 Unfortunately, the fish are from the retired set Just Beachy.

The reindeer one uses Soft Suede ink and DSP and the Christmas tree uses Mellow Moss ink and DSP.  I think that this will be the card most of our friend get this year.
