It's definitely fall

Had to rake up leaves yesterday before the rains arrive, nothing worse than a driveway covered with wet slippery leaves.  Although it was cool, the sun was out making it a pleasurable chore and got me thinking about Halloween so had to make a Halloween project when I came in.

I pulled out my Big Shot and the Fancy Favor die

 It is so easy with this die to make fabulous boxes but sometimes they are a big short for what you have in mind.  It is so easy to change the look and height but simply added a strip to the top. Basic Black textured for the bottom and then I cut a 3" strip of the spider paper from Frightful Sight DSP and ran that through the die placing it at the top of the die to get the same fancy edge.  Using the  1 3/4" circle punch I punched out a window and placed a piece of  our Medium window sheets on the inside keeping those eyeballs in.  A piece of Basic Black Dotted Scalloped ribbon holds the top closed and the tag is from Wicked Cool, a fabulous Halloween set that was in our last year's Holiday Mini and made it to the new Idea Book & Catalogue.

Wow, October 31st, this year is certainly flying by isn't it?

And being today is Halloween, this is the last day I will be using this stamp set for a while so more Wicked Cool for you!

These are really simple little treat holders

 from the front and then from the side

 I attached the 2 3/8" scalloped circle to the front with dimensionals so the top flap would tuck nicely underneath allowing the box to stay closed without any type of fasteners and you definitely want the flap to stay closed so you don't loose your treats

 Each one holds 2 Ghirardelli chocolates .

Halloween is

just a few more days away so got to play a bit more with Wicked Cool.  I had saved this pattern for a little  basket in the spring from AR Creations and it is so easy to make

 No sticky strip or glue holding it together just 1/4" Black Grosgrain ribbon.  I stamped the spider web using Whisper White craft ink onto Perfect Plum on each of the sides and a medium cello bag holds three scrumptious Ghirardelli chocolates.  The bag is closed at the top with two Basic Black scalloped ovals attached to each other with dimensionals.   And how about a little note card ?

 The spider webs and Spooky are embossed with White embossing powder onto Basic Black to give some pop and inside

 A headless witch, now that is Spooky!

Now I know what you are thinking,

didn't she tell us a couple of weeks ago, that she wasn't into Halloween.  And look here, another Halloween post!  What is up with that?

Oh, and let's make it even better, I really am not a baker either and this post is a combo baking and Halloween (no, I don't think I hit my head) but I saw this book, Cake Pops and I thought, I could make some of those and since my nieces are back in town, perfect for the kids.

 Aren't they the cutest things!  The girls loved them and didn't think they were Spooky at all!

October 1st

this year is definitely flying by, and fall is here, at least in my driveway, all those leaves!  Hopefully it will be sunny on the weekend and we can rake some of them up.  Well, with fall comes Halloween, and another SU demo, Erica Cerwin, designed this fabulous box to cover this Halloween item.  Well, we don't have a Bath & Body Works here (I know, hard to believe, I live in a capital city) but my son had gone to the mainland and so nicely picked up the requested product.  Anti Bacterial Hand Gel, labeled especially for Halloween, Red, Vampire Blood, Green, bat bite, Grey, Spider's Web.  And of course, what stamp set to use---Wicked Cool!

Now, I am not much of a

Halloween person, but I seem to get one Halloween stamp set a year.  This year it is Wicked Cool, just love the witch's boots!  Check out the images

And add these to a Gable Box and you get

I used Concord Crush for the box and stamped the spider web with Whisper White Craft ink and the Witch's boots and hat in Black Stazon.  A couple of rhinestones to add some bling to the boots and the stockings colored with my Concord Crush marker.  Add some Old Olive to add some pop and it is done.
