Isn't he a cute little guy, perfect for a kid's Birthday card. Angie Juda had him on her blog and it was just what I needed for a this card. The card base is our Scalloped Circle die and the Lion is made with several punches, Scallop Circle, Boho Blossoms, Large Oval, 1 3/8, 1 1/4,3/4 and 1/2" circle punches. The sentiment is from On Your BIrthday, one of our retiring sets that is available till May 31st.

In just a few days, it will be St. Patrick's Day, and while I am not Irish why not celebrate it by getting a little punchy!
Ok maybe it is alot of punching but once I got started, it was hard to stop making these little guys. I used Pear Pizzazz DSP for the triangle boxes and then Peach Parfait, Garden Green, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Pacific Point and a little bit of Brushed Gold cardstock for this guys. And just what punches did I use, 1 1'4" circle, Scallop Circle, Word Window punch, 5-Petal Flower puch, Owl Punch for the eyes and nose, retired Label punch for the hat but you could use the 1 1/4" square punch. The little sentiment is from It's a Wrap Holidays and is punched out with the Postage stamp punch and layered onto the 1 3/8" square.
Peach Parfait Stitched Poly Ribbon holds the boxes closed .

The new Holiday Mini starts today and wow,it is loaded with some incredible products. My favorites
SIMPLY SCORED Scoring Tool!! You bet I am yelling about this product, we have waited and waited and waited but let me say the wait was worth it. This product is fabulous, so much better than the Martha Stewart scoreboard and the Scor-pal. The grooves are 1/8" apart, the stylus so smooth and having place markers-no forgetting now.
Silver Glimmer Paper- This stuff is beautiful, imagine Dazzling Diamonds on a sheet

Check out that Glimmer paper and the Stocking is just punched from that gorgeous paper, Frostwood Lodge, doesn't this pattern just remind you of flannel jammies. I cased this card from page 34 in the mini, changing up the colours and stamps. I just punched the stocking rather than stamp it and used the medallion from Day of Gratitude for the circle behind the stocking. Merry is from Pendant Parade.
I used Cherry Cobbler for the card base and then a piece of Lucky Limeade DSP. The doily is from Flirtatious Specialty, all the doilies are white on the back so just flip them over (this one is Pumpkin Pie).

See how nice I am, two in one week!
I was lucky last week to be asked to babysit my neighbour's granddaughter and managed to snap a few pictures so I could make a gift for my neighbour. In July's Stampin' Success, they showed a great little matchbook album, so I just had to make one for her.
I used Pink Pirouette for the cover and what's new, notice the flags, that is our new Petite Pennants Builder Punch, makes the scalloped and the straight edged shapes. I used the retiring On a Pedestal stamp set for the words, using the direct marker to stamp technique and free handing the cutting on the words. And when you open the matchbook
there's that sweet little face. The matchbook holds four pages
Perfect to pop in your purse to show off to your friends.

Even though, you really can't tell if this little guy is happy, and with such big eyes, maybe he is just startled! I love the owl punch and adding arms by using pieces off the Boho Blossoms punch just adds that little bit more. I used the Top Note die as the background, stamping first the greeting, masking it and then stamping with the Woodgrain background stamp. Inside
A sentiment from Bring on the Cake (and yes, that set carried forward into the new catalogue) and a couple of images from a retired set to add a bit more woodland feel.

they are different and they are very, very cool. Have you checked out the new punches in the Summer Mini, Triple Layer Punch, it is THREE punches in one punch.
We have the Doilly Triple Layer punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch. First unlock the punch from its storing position to move the selection slider-it will not move if the punch is locked. Second choose what you want to punch and insert your paper
leave the punch on the counter and push down. If you have it on the first position, the most solid image, it will feel like nothing is happening, but it is punching. The second image you need to push a bit firmer and the third position firmer still but they really are easy to push. Make sure you push your paper all the way in or you will only punch partial images
Simple learning curve, fabulous projects.

I can't remember what this type of card is called, but they are so easy to make, just a few score lines and a couple of cuts
Crumb Cake is used for the base and then everything is added. Notice the Melon Mambo Easter eggs from the Easter Blossom set, they are embossed using-wait for it- Melon Mambo Embossing Powder! That's right, in the Summer Mini due out May 1, we have three new embossing powders, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango. They are so beautiful to work with, just like all the other Stampin' Up Embossing powders.
The bunny is again made from Kay Sha's instructions using Basic Grey, I just like grey bunnies!

I made one in Chocolate Chip and the other Basic Grey and added punch art baskets for Easter cards for my nieces
A bit of retired DSP to make up the backgrounds
The baskets are made using the Round Tab punch folded in half for the basket, large and small oval punches for the handle, oval punched eggs and a bit of 1/8" taffeta ribbon.

Now, these colors, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and More Mustard are definitely colors that I would not have thought to put together, but they definitely do work well. The owl, no matter what colors you make him, he is just so cute.

Wow, December 24th already. Just finishing up the last minutes wrapping and what a perfect gift card holder I found on Stampin' Connection, part of the demonstrator side of Stampin' Up. Lisa Young created it and you bet I copied it, I mean when it is this fabulous, what could you change?
