to get back in the swing of things, Christmas, holiday, no internet, super cold, yep, need to get my routine back. I know it is February, the shortest month of the year and hopefully, today the groundhog predicts a early spring. We were just down on the island for a quick trip and the trees are all budding, certain sign spring is just around the corner, even if it is super cold. So today the card is simple, quick and easy using our new Dragonfly framelits.
When I have taken a bit of time off, creativity is a hard thing to find. I use sketches or case cards to get that juju flowing again. This card I cased from the latest issue of Cardmaker magazine, changing it to use only Stampin' Up product. I used Soft Sky cardstock for a top fold card and then added a layer of Vellum that is attached to the top back of the card and then a couple of strategically placed glue dots near the bottom.
The sentiment is from a retired set but I just love the big font and I used Versamark & our Archival Black ink along with Clear embossing powder to get a bold raised sentiment. The dragonfly is cut from our Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
TIP: Peel off the backing of the paper so that it is easy to cut out intricate dies with just one pass through the Big Shot.
and layered onto the solid Dragonfly cut from Copper Foil paper.
