Foxy Friends hasn't seen ink since December so thought it could use some inky love. I cased this card from Australian demo Jacque, Splotch Design using all the same colours, just changing up the sentiment and the ground under the fox as I didn't have the stamp set she used and changing the rhinestones for pearls.
And notice how perfectly the fox is cut out, there's a punch for that! I just stamped the images using Cajun Craze on Whisper White attaching the pieces with
The ground under the fox is from Work of Art, I think you need to put him on something so he doesn't look like her is floating on the card.
Don't you love the beginnings of spring, flowers starting pop up everywhere you look. This card uses the same layout and design as the card two days ago, I just added the butterfly and a different sentiment and changed up the colours.
I love this card, so bright and watercolouring like this will bring out the artist in anyone.
Even if you are not a real life chicken fan, you are going to fall in love with the stamp set Hey Chick for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it does have the cutes images but the best reason is the price- $0. That's right, it costs nothing, you can not buy it, you have to take it for FREE. Check out the crazy cute images
Aren't these guy adorable. And with our Watercolour pencils, they are super easy to colour. And who says chickens have to be black, brown or white, any colour goes!
Pacific Point and Real Real are perfect . I used our brick wall impressions folder for the background sponging on a little Crumb Cake to give a bit more dimension. The basket weave DSP is from Serene Scenery pack and the sentiment is from Suite Sayings a great set that has some wonderful sentiments and fonts.
Just look at all the occasions you will have covered with this set.
This card feels like Spring to me. Spring is coming and with spring, we know rain! This time I used one of our fabulous note cards, you get 20 cards and envelopes in a pack either Thick Whisper White or Crumb Cake for $8.00, which I think is one of the best deals in the catty. The notecards are 3 1/2 x 5 and go in the post perfectly. I think every stamper, a newby or seasoned should get a pack of these. They are perfect for a quick card or make a set and give as a gift. And if you make a card that doesn't meet your "like it" meter, remember our paper has two sides just for that reason. Cut the back off the card and use for a different card layer. Most times you are able to flip your cardstock piece over and restamp and then attach to another piece of cardstock. No one will ever know what is hiding under the image!
Again I used Beautiful You and dealing with scraps for the DSP and mat.
Paper piecing is a easy technique that adds that little extra to your card. For this card the piecing is the dress. Simply stamp your image that you want to piece onto a piece of DSP, cut out and stamp the same image onto a piece of Whisper White, and attach the DSP piece to your Whisper white. I now have a perfect polka dot dress.
Believe it or not, the Beautiful You set is super easy to cut out the only hard part is choosing a DSP to use. I layered the image onto a Melon Mambo scalloped square and the card base is from a retired kit v=but I thought that it went so well together.
Have a wonderful weekend and try to stamp a little (or maybe, a lot!)
from Hey, Chick. Again I used our Watercolour Pencils and my blender pen. Man you are going to get sick of reading "my watercolour pencils" but they truthfully are so fabulous to work with, you just need to buy some. They are not expensive either, the box of thirteen is $21.00. And yes, I certainly am hoping that when we get our new Catalogue in June, they have more colours-how fabulous would that be!
And what about that cool wood on the bottom of the card? That is DSP from the Serene Scenery stack in the main catty. It has some beautiful pieces in there all 6 x 6. Super easy card today but a perfect little pick me up to send to anyone.
Do you ever buy a stamp set and then go to use it and wham, no inspiration, nothing works from your brain to the paper? Well, Beautiful You was that set for me, I mean, I loved it, it was beautiful so many different things you can do with it, beautiful sentiment. So it arrives, it sits, I try, cards look horrid (at least in my mind). So what do you do? Case somebody, and wham, you will find that set is the set you wanted, it is beautiful and you will get ideas.
I cased this card from UK demo, Allyson Longe
It is a Double Z fold and this one ended up being just a bit bigger than our average card at
4 1/4 x 6 1/4 so had to make a custom envelope but no worries there. I used Bermuda Bay DSP from the Brights Stack and colour the girl with my Watercolour Pencils and blender pen. The stamp on the inside of the card is from Designer Tees, a free Saleabration set and says Don't give up your daydream which I thought went really well with the front sentiment.
Don't you think this is a beautiful card I love fancy folds and this is one I will be making a lot!
I hope you have a nice day and enjoy a little special time with someone special or make someone's day special, it really doesn't take much effort.
The best time of the year for a stamper is Sale-a-bration! Have you checked out the offerings this year. My first choice of free stamps was Hey, Chick. I just love these chickens and my favourite is the one with the wild hair.
And I am loving our Watercolour Pencils, they really blend beautifully both on watercolour paper or our Whisper White or our Shimmery White. This guy was stamped with Archival Ink onto thick Whisper White and then I added colour blending with my Blender pen. I used Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. The background is our new Hexagons Dynamic Impressions folder, it really is a lovely one. A strip of Pacific Point DSP and a scalloped circle of DAffodil Delight makes a easy everyday card.
Hope that you had a wonderful weekend. We did beautiful sunshine, no snow but frightfully cold! The highways are all open again and in my opinion, spring can not come quick enough. We only have 20inches of snow in the yard, my brother has 52 so I am not complaining! This card is so pretty in real life, but trying to capture a good picture, that is next to impossible. Here is the best one I got
This card sparkles in person, those little drops you see are drops of Dazzling Details, a glue and glitter all in one. This is a card that everyone is making, the faux Quilting, super easy to do and super pretty. Simply score in one direction, then turn your cardstock and score again making the diamonds. A little sponging to highlight the diamonds and you have a thing of beauty. The solid dragonfly is cut out of our Silver Foil sheet and then the lacy dragonfly cut out of our Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and layered over the top. The sentiment is from Garden in Bloom and I heat embossed it and cut out with the Stitched Oval framelits. This card is so easy to match and the final result is so beautiful.
