Ever make a card

and have it fall together just like you imagined it in your head?  This is one of those cards, it worked perfectly including the Bow!  Yes, miracles do happen!!!

I love this set, Animal Crackers and sad to see it on the retirement list, but hey, that means we get new stuff and if this catty is anything little the last three minis, we will really be in trouble!

The background DSP is a old one, not even sure of the name, but I had just enough to do the background and the colors were perfect.  The bow is made with the wonderful Chocolate Chip satin and a Star designer brad and attached to a bit of Island Oasis DSP with Sticky Strip-needed something strong to hold it tight.  The image is stamped on Watercolor paper and colored with Watercolor Crayons and my Aquapainter.

Simple Thanks

Isn't this little penguin from Animal Crackers so cute?  And that corner rounder just jumped into my hand so I knew I had to use it again.  This card started with a piece of Bashful Blue 8 x 4 scored at 4 and then I used the scallop edge punch along one side.  Thank you is from Short & Sweet, one of my favorite sentiment sets.  The ice cube is edged with Bashful Blue marker then my two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds.

I think I need to reink my Basic Black ink don't you?

Big Shot dies

are so easy to use and the Bag with Scallops die makes great treat holders.  I cut the die using Close to Cocoa cardstock and then stamped it with Woodgrain Background Stamp again with Close to Cocoa ink so that it is tone on tone like a tree.

Before glueing the box together I used my 1 1/4" circle punch and punched a window in the front.  The Squirrel is from Animal Crackers and the sentiment  was stamped on seperately and then punched out using the Large Tag punch.  Peanuts are put in one of SU's small cellophane bags and then a Wire clip from the Clips Assortment holds the bag shut.  Now the question I have is, do squirrels store their nuts in trees or bury them underground?

Easel Cards

Are really easy to make. 

 Easy but don't they look great.  For this card, I used the set Animal Crackers, one of the sets I picked up during Stampin' Ups November specials.

 Isn't Giraffe so cute!  I stamped him on  Very Vanilla and colored him in with Summer Sun and Soft Suede markers.   A bit of sponging around the edge, then matted onto Soft Suede.  The DSP is from Pink Flamingo cut in 1 and 1 1/2" strips and then angled at the top.  The Chipboard star from On Board Essentials is colored with Summer Sun Craft ink and embossed with Clear Embossing powder and wrapped with Hemp twine.  The sentiment from Heard from the Heart is stamped in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla, matted with Soft Suede and attached to the Very Vanilla with dimensionals to create the stop for the upper part of the card.
