The last couple weeks have been insane, so darn busy but trust me I am not complaining, just have had no time for crafting. Hopefully mid next week, my life will return to normal! Since I last blogged, the retirement list has come out and I thought I would use the list and highlight a few of the sets that are retiring due to my lack of crafting time. One of the sets, that is retiring is Amazing Birthday. This is a great set
It works with our Banner framelits and circle punches and it is 25% off both clear and wood mount sets.

With a little treat, perfect for the clerk at a store, a maid at the hotel or just a random person. You got to admit if someone gave you this, you would smile. I used one of our little Cello bags and folded a piece of Pear Pizzazz for the top. The sentiment is from the retired Sale a bration set, Just for you, but is perfect don't you think.I added a Real Red flower with a Daffodil delight center and Garden Green leaves all cut with the Botanical Blooms Dies. These are awesome dies.
Everybody uses gift cards and although they are a great gift, I think they need a little pizzazz on the delivery. Here is a super simple but wow holder.
It uses one of our Brown tag a bags scored at 3" and folded up. Now add a 2 to 2 1/2" DSP band, some sort of embellishment a couple of tags and you are done. I used our It's My Party stack for the fun candles and added a tag of Crushed Curry. A couple of gold stars from our sequins pack. Pull out the cards
yes, I have a few that I keep, and thankfully I kept the Baby Tees wheel, I needed a baby card and yes, I could have used Zoo Babies but I have used it a lot. I rolled just one onsie, cut it out and added just a bit of colour.
Yes, you are right I used yellow because we don't know if it is a boy or girl. Crushed Curry is bright and I added a bit of Basic Black to tone it down or make it look more like a sports team colours (don't know about that!)
I will say I love sentiment sets, I like to have lots of choices and Crazy about you, gives you lots of choices. Check out all the words in this set
That is 30 word stamps and if you want you can get 12 more words by dividing up a phrase like "from all of us" that is four separate words. I have been seeing a lot of cards that chop the sentiments up and when they are done on black with white print, it reminds me of the Dynamo labels, remember those?
Simple cardI just stamped the flower twice and fussy cut it out one as the whole flower and one just the smaller center bit and popped it up on a dimensional. The words are stamped in versamark and heat embossed with our White powder. And yes, these are two of the retiring In Colours, Mellow Moss and Tangelo Twist.
this set is a great set for the guys and since it has been around since 2011, I am kind of thinking that it will be on the retirement list that comes out next Tuesday so thought it better see some ink.
Yep, it's another square card. I used Night of Navy for the base and then Very Vanilla matted with more Night of Navy. I used our NIght of Navy ink, that is one of the big things that I love about Stampin' Up, everything coordinates. Inside
Sentiment from Tin of Cards and the anchor from The Open Sea.
The Open Sea
And speaking of the retirement list, if you want any of the 2014-2016 In Colour products, ink pads, refills, paper order this week, because if previous history repeats itself, they will be gone the first day the list comes out
The colours, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey.
I love square cards, while all square cards are not good for mailing, 4 x 4 and 4 1/4 square cards are. They do not require special postage as they fit in a standard envelope.
This card is a 4 1/4 square and while it has lots of layers, it is super easy, thanks to our Circles Collection framelits. I stamped the Happy Birthday from Tin of Cards and the Birthday cake from Party Wishes using Versamark and heat embossing them with our Gold Embossing powder. The cake does not have a matching framelit but is super easy to fussy cut.
The colours all came from the DSP which is from It's My Party stack and I cut the DSP,Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry with the framelits moving up one size.
The Melon Mambo flowers on the cake are punched with the Tree Builder punch three just fit perfectly. A little dot of our White Gel pen adds a little texture. Inside, more gold embossing using Remembering your Birthday set.
