Well with Christmas coming up, you are going to need a few Thank you cards so why not make a few ahead of time. Today's card is so simple but I think it is lovely. White on white, with just a pop of colour. I used our Lovely Lace impressions folder to make the embossed panel to add some texture to this otherwise flat card.
The pop of colour comes from the retired Basic Black polka dot ribbon and the pretty little Melon Mambo flower made with our Petite Petals punch & stamp set. A Brights Candy Dot finishes off the center.
Just a bit more embossing for you-maybe I should put my heat gun away instead of leaving it on my desk! I put away the powders and Versamark pad but the gun, just sits quietly on the side, tempting me.
I do love this Happy Birthday sentiment from Happy Birthday Everyone, one of the hostess sets this year. It is large and besides the main image, it comes with additional words to personalize your card to a specific person. Don't you love the butterfly? I used the middle butterfly from the Butterflies thinlits and our Gold Foil to cut out the top beauty and then I stamped the solid image from Watercolor Wings in Calypso Coral, cut it out with the coordinating Framelit and layered the two together attaching only in the middle so the upper butterfly wings can lift a little. The sequins are from last years In Color pack but these little guys, really go with so many current colours that I just may use up that little tub one year!
Making birthday cards is easy but for little ones I do struggle. For this 1 year old card, I pulled out Zoo Babies, Endless Birthday Wishes and a retired set for the number.First I stamped the giraffe in Daffodil Delight and the parrot in Tempting Turquoise and layered it onto a piece of Melon Mambo. Using Pink Pirouette I stamped hearts onto the background of the next layer ( can't remember where I got that heart from!) and then the birthday sentiment in Melon Mambo and layered it again onto Melon Mambo. Bright, cheerful and isn't that what a birthday card should be.
Check out these cute little reindeer tags, just a little stamping and lots of punching. Stampin' Up really does have the best punches, easy to use and thanks to many talented stampers, basic punches turn into beautiful things that they were not intended for. Like the antlers, those are really the tree from the Tree builder punch and his head-it's a owl! I have to thank Dena Rekow for sharing this little guy
The tag itself is also punched using our Scalloped Tag Topper punch and don't they look cute attached to a gift.
Before I show you today's card Stampin' Up's online extravaganza starts today and runs till the 30th. Click over to my online store and check out the great deals-remember they are only while supplies last. Now, onto me being an embossing fanatic!
Certainly seems like that lately, I am loving shiny, sparkly things lately. And since I have freshly inked Versamark pads, this card is embossed throughout. The envelope with the little cake from Amazing Birthday starts the embossing frenzy.
The background of the card uses a retired Background stamp, Distressed Dots (yes, that is not a poor inking job-it is supposed to look like that!) and then the sentiment from Really Good Greetings that I just discovered is retired and I still had it in my current sets. I punched it out with my 2 1/2" circle punch and layered it onto a Silver Foil circle cut with my Circle Framelits. The little banners are punched with our Banner punch
Inside the sentiment from Remembering your birthday is embossed and then check out the back of the card
This card is for a friend who always sends email birthday cards (ok nothing really wrong with that) but I think a card in your hand is better!
I know I seem to only use the trees (it's true, I love those trees) but there are other stamps. In my opinion, the stamp I used today, certainly is a strange one in this set, it's Antlers. No deer, just the antlers. So what did I do with it? Put them on this little dog, doesn't he look cute? This card is for my brother who loves his dog. Looking through the catalogue, there are lots of sets these antlers could be used with, You little Furball, the cat from Giggle Greetings, You're Sublime the frog. And that is just a few possibilities. The sentiment comes from White Christmas/
Well, have I convinced you, this is a fabulous set? I hope you love it as much as I do. Have a great weekend and Stamp something!
Perfect for the outdoorsman or nature lover don't you think? More sponging but this time with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango and again the trees stamped to give the illusion of depth. The sentiment is from Remembering your Birthday finishing off this really simple but stunning card.
