No time to make cards? For a limited time, Stampin' Up! has packages of 10 premade cards ready to sign and send-how much easier could it be?
Everyone loves receiving handmade cards. Now you can give them without the fuss of making them. With Ready. Set. Send. cards we've already done the work for you! Just grab a card, write a quick note, and off it goes. Your friends and family will love your handcrafted cards!
Or you can CASE(copy & share) these cards and make your own. Now the tiny thanks on the banner of the Thank you card is retired, but I'm sure you would have another stamp that you could use in its place and the stripes on the Birthday Card is also retired but it is available right now on the Clearance Rack or you could use any background stamp.
do you know what this word means? I think it is a funny word and I have only started hearing it in the last few years.
What does it mean? Well, this card has cattywampus layers.
Have you figured it out? Askew, tilted, lopsided, yep, that's cattywampus. I have used a bit of retired product on this card, I am really trying to use up some of my retired DSP (I might have hoarded it a bit), the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen, and the cute monster from the retired set, Spooky Bingo Bits. I will say I miss the sets with all the little images.
Since it is important to learn something everyday, you have already learned your something, the word, cattywampus, now use it in a sentence today and see if those around you know what you are talking about!
And hot of the presses, Stampin' Up! has just announced that we can buy the new colour kit as single markers so you can complete your collection if you only needed a couple of the colours. They are available singly from June 26 to October 31.
Stampin' Write Marker New Color Kit Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder
Just what is paper piecing? It is simply stamping your image on a few different pieces of paper and cutting out the pieces and reassembling your image. Truthfully, it does sound finicky but depending on the stamp you choose, it can be easy and really make your card pop. One of the images that is super easy to paper piece is the coffee cup from Perfect Blend.

The thick lines on the coffee cup make cutting very forgiving
For this card I stamped the coffee cup onto Crumb Cake and then just the top part onto Whisper White. I also stamped the chevron image from Oh, Hello onto Crumb Cake with Crumb Cake ink and then stamped the coffee cup again over the top of it, creating the coffee cozy to have some texture. The card itself is a 3 x 6, a nice change from a standard size card and Very Vanilla, now that is a colour I certainly don't use often, but I love it with Early Expresso, a nice contrast.
Truthfully, when it came out in the catalogue last year, it wasn't one that I would have purchased but we received it at convention and I will say I love it. Now I have used it alot for birthday cards, but I needed a label for a gift basket that was a prize. Well, as a winner, you definitely are Amazing. Using our ticket punch, it is so easy to make perfect tickets and our Apothecary Accents framelits, I cut out the main image.
Just check out the images that come in this set.

This year, one of the stamp sets we are getting at convention is Gorgeous Grunge, now that I am so looking forward to getting!
Greeting? Just one week left of Stampin' Up's Grab your Greeting promotion and all three of the sets on sale are fabulous but I do think, Petite Pairs is my favorite.
Petite Pairs is just like the name, small greetings that come in pairs, one for the outside and one for the inside of your card. I used our new Hostess Set, Simply Sketched for this card, stamping the flower in Stazon and colouring in with my Blush Blossom, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz markers. I love using our lighter colours for colouring directly onto paper, for deeper colours, I will use my blender pen. And just what would go inside with this greeting?

Stampin' Up! 2013
Mosaic Madness and Really Good Greetings Stamp Sets; Whisper White Cardstock; Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper; Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin’ Pads®; Mosaic Punch; Big ShotTM; Modern Mosaic Textured ImpressionsTM Embossing Folder
Are two of the new of the new In Colours for this year, and they are beautiful. I used the Baked Brown Sugar as the background and ran it through the Big Shot with the new Modern Mosaic embossing folder. The stamp set is a new one, Perfect Blend, comes with the coffee cup and two sentiments.
Both of the sentiments are done in a cool font, and no I didn't smear it, that is just the way the stamp is.
