to get your taxes done, boy that isn't fun is it? Ok, for something fun, you also have one more day to get this Sneak Peek stamp set and Designer Series paper pack from the new Idea Book & Catalogue before they go back in the vault till July.
The stamp set, Four Frames is designed to punch out with our Decorative Label punch making quick work of any label or card focal point. Since so many of our sentiment sets fit you can personalize each frame.
the final days of the Occasions Mini with such wonderful sets as Easter Blossoms,Bring on the Cake, Eat Chocolate and one of my favourites, Plane & Simple. Today's card is a bit of the old and a bit of new just to entice you.
So what is the "new" part, the DSP, there are two great new packs in the Summer Mini and the one I used on this card is called Nautical Expedition but I thought it worked perfectly with the airplane from Plane & Simple.
Those stamps sets we fell in love with in the Idea Book & Catalogue or a mini, and then they sit on our shelf, neglected. Chic Boutique is one of my neglected stamp sets, so my goal is to make five cards with it before I can put it away. Hmmm, don't worry, I will split up the posts, here is the first one,
I have used DSP from Springtime Vintage, a lovely pack of paper from the Occasions Mini that I am going to miss, it has such wonderful patterns. Don't you love the font on the sentiment, that is from a Sale-a-bration set that if you missed getting, sorry, it is now retired.
As the Occasions Mini is coming to its end, only 5 more days to order from it, trying to use up my Designer Series papers. This paper is from the Sweet Stitches pack and has a wonderful border giving this card a two tone look. The image is from Silhouette Sentiments and stamped using Early Expresso onto Very Vanilla and then punched out with our 1 3/4" circle punch and layered onto the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle and then cut so that it peeks out above the Rose Red seam binding. Quick & Easy
So last week, I apparently missed posting the card and just gave you a teaser of words, so I am blaming it on Ghosts. When I was young, when things went missing in our home, we blamed it on Ghosts, so Ghosts must have taken my post! The stamp set, Make a Monster is such a cute set, and since my hubby was turning 50 and still is a big kid, I thought Make a Monster would be a perfect set to use for his card. Add on Bring on the Cake set from the Occasions Mini and you have quite the card
I used Pear Pizzazz as the base and stamped random circles from Circle Circus using Old Olive ink. In the circles, I stamped various eyes from the Make a Monster set. The Whisper White image panel is framed with Early Expresso using the Scallop Edge punch along the bottom and has the images stamped in Early Expresso. I coloured in the 5 & 0 using my Pear Pizzazz marker and then put Crystal Effects over them making them really stand out
The Monster body is stamped onto a bit of Pear Pizzazz DSP and then cut out and attached over the Early Expresso body. A perfect birthday card, for those young at heart.
The lastest Impressions folder, perfect for summer, Flower Garden.
I used Shimmery White as the base and ran it through the Big Shot then using my Aquapainter and ink pads painted in the background with Bashful Blue and a bit of Pear Pizzazz for the stems and So Saffron for the flower centers. Matted with Baja Breeze it really makes the flowers pop. I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch to add a bit of pop to the edge with a thin strip of So Saffron behind it. And what about that bow, no tying, just fold and hold together with a So Saffron brad, perfect everytime.
I can't remember what this type of card is called, but they are so easy to make, just a few score lines and a couple of cuts
Crumb Cake is used for the base and then everything is added. Notice the Melon Mambo Easter eggs from the Easter Blossom set, they are embossed using-wait for it- Melon Mambo Embossing Powder! That's right, in the Summer Mini due out May 1, we have three new embossing powders, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango. They are so beautiful to work with, just like all the other Stampin' Up Embossing powders.
The bunny is again made from Kay Sha's instructions using Basic Grey, I just like grey bunnies!
