can you use on one card? How about 5. First the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder to give some pop to the background and then the Scalloped Trim punch-a FREE Sale-a-bration punch, how about some of the glittery Sending Love Specialty paper, the stamp set Well Scripted and then the gorgeous Satin Ribbon. That's 5. Now I cased this case from Stacey Schafer on SCS as the design is just so perfect for highlighting the new stuff.
See how wonderful that impressions folder is, you can see the dots in the picture. And the Sedning Love Speciality paper is so wonderful, it is on backorder until February 8th.
From the Occasions Mini has the cutest little animals. Now this a quick and easy card.
For the Lion I used my markers and colored directly on the stamp, Chocolate Chip and More Mustard, give it a huff and stamp. Easy. To give the background a bit more texture I used the background stamp Sanded and stamped using Versamark. The Lion sits on a Chocolate Chip and a More Mustard Scalloped circle slightly offset from each other and the sentiment is from the Sale-a-bration set Whimsical Words.
in the groove. Home again and seemed have lost my Mojo between here and California! I find the best way to get it back, try a challenge. Last night on SUDSOL, was Chat and Challenge so perfect for me. This card uses alot of Big Shot dies and very little stamping.
See all the new stuff on there. I had a big box waiting for me when I got back and I unpacked it all, put it away and was baffled as what to do with it. As you can see, that didn't last long! The background DSP is from the Sale-a-bration Welcome Neighbour DSP pack and the Scallop Trim uses the free punch. The sentiment from Full of Life set and I stamped that in Chocolate Chip ink onto a Whisper White circle cut with the Circles #2 die. The Crushed Curry scallop circle is cut using the Scallops #2 die and the gorgeous butterflies are also done using the Big Shot and the new Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I am so impressed with this Embosslit, it cuts five butterflies in different sizes and textures. Here is a close up of the ones I used
Notice the butterflies on the scallop strip- those are stamped using Versamark and I used a recently retired set- Branch out.
So the next time you are overwhelmed and don't know what to make, try a Card Sketch to get you back on track.
Would this brighten someone's day? I think chocolate brightens anyone's day. These cute little packets are made from the Petal Card die. Fold in the two sides and fold up the bottom and attach with sticky strip. Wrap some of our gorgeous satin ribbon around it and knot then attach a sentiment and pop in that Ghiridelli chocolate. How hard is that?
Recipe: Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Accessories: Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Modern Label punch, Modern Label Windows die Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Here are some more pictures from the Para Toys meet last year. Now what colors are those sails, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Only Orange? Ever find yourself relating colors around you to our SU color names? Oh, yes, it is a good sickness!!
Have you had a chance to check out the Occasions Mini? One of the new dies for the Big Shot is the Milk Carton and it is so cute. Completed it measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 so it can hold a nice portion of goodies.
This is the Project of the Month on our SU website. A perfect little Thank you to make someone's day.
Many people have heard of blue poppies, a few will have seen them, even fewer will have grown them. Well I say, just color them!
Can you imagine if you had these growing in your garden? Now, anyone that knows me, knows I am not a gardener. It is with luck and other peoples efforts that I have any flowers in my yards. Oh well, we all can't be good at everything as my Mum would say.
This is another simple card. Whisper White base, a strip of Basic Black punched with the Eyelet Border punch, Night of Navy striped DSP and the image stamped on Whisper White, matted with a very thin border of Basic Black. The flower is colored with Night of Navy, Bordering Blue and Ballet Blue markers, and I will say in person, the shading is very evident, but I just can't get a good picture of it. Do you like the image panel being placed on an angle?
better than snow! Southern California has been battered by one weather system after another, reminds me of home!! I have shown you MDS pages of the beauty in the washes caused by the wind and rain, well here is the rain. Monday night my husband asked me to come outside to listen. We are about a city block from the closest wash and you could here the water was rushing down the wash. Now it was too dark to take pictures,( yes, I made him drive me to where it crosses the road further down) and the next morning, we went back and took these pictures.
Believe or not, this is so much drier than the night before.
