Lots of Boots

in a line.  Boy, wouldn't you be happy if your kids were this neat?  In my house, it was and still is footwear everywhere where kids are involved, only now they are so large they are deadly tripping devices.

Todays card uses Scene in the Garden from the Occasions Mini which is still going till June 30.

 The sentiment is from A little Birdie told me using the Large Oval punch(107035) for both the Whisper White and the Real Red.

Notecards

Every card does not have to be for a occasion.  I love to write quick notes to my family and friends in a card so that is why I make notecards.  I like to use Whisper White as my base so it makes writing and reading easy. I still make mine standard A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so that they can go in the post with no problems.

This card uses Echoes of Kindness Level 2 hostess gift, Lavender Lace Textured cardstock, Basic Black and Whisper White.  The image is stamped with Black Stazon cause it is so black and colored with my blender pen and Orchid Opulence.

Woo Hoo it's Friday

Remember this tongue twister from when you were young?

She sells seashells by the seashore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I'm sure she sells seashore shells.   Ok, maybe I make cards by the seashore instead.  My friend Sue, loaned me her Seaside set and this easy notecard uses two of the stamps.  I stamped with Chocolate Chip ink, masking  as I went along and then colored the images with my Pastels.  So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock make it clean and simple.     And remember ONLY THREE DAYS LEFT of Buy 3, Get 1 free Designer Paper and Textured Cardstock. Flock together

is a really nice Designer Paper and has no In Colors so it just might stay with us for a while longer, let's cross our fingers!  I seem to be on a Birthday card kick but that is because in the next month I have seven birthdays in the family. Then we have July and August with seven more!  So I might as well be prepared for a change.  Today's card uses Certainly Celery and Garden Green (yes, my yard is very green now with it's glorious grass) and Flock Together DSP.

 The Zoofari birds just seem to go with Flock Together don't you think?  Just loving the scallop oval punch layered with the large oval and the wide oval.  A little Apricot Appeal ribbon and there you have a masterpiece.  Notice the layers are back, you know they couldn't stay away long.

What's your style?

Most people have a style in their art, you can look and say that is a ____.  I love layers, clean and simple but layers.  I think it makes the card look right to me.  So now, try to do something different. I have worked outside my color comforts and been pleased with the results.  So this card I tried to choose a color I normally don't use-red and no layers.

Chocolate chip, pink pirouette and Whisper White for the image.  The DSP is from Pink Flamingo, yes, I love that paper even if it is red!  The birthday cake is from Voila and colored with markers and a little Dazzling Diamonds on the platter.  Ok, the cake is layered onto a Chocolate Chip circle but that doesn't really count, right?

Echoes of Kindness

Is one of my favorite sets.  Love the quote by Mother Theresa and the flowers.  I am not much of a flower person, I think that goes with gardening, which I definitely do not like.  I really like the yard to look nice, but don't want to do it.  Isn't that what husbands are for?  Mine doesn't think so.  Today we are getting more synthetic lawn put in.  This is a great way to have a nice yard and really no work. Now for the card, Not Quite Navy and Kiwi Kiss.  You would not think that they would look good together but they do.  What do you think?

Yes, sad but exciting at the same time.  Only 36 more days and the new catalogue comes out.  With the new catalogue, certain sets disappear forever.  This Level Two Hostess set is one,

Boldly celebrate

with a Little Birdie Told me (115016) a cute stamp set with lots of phrases.

How's that for bright?  Pacific point, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun and Whisper White add Good Morning Sunshine (113966) DSP and it's bright.  I used the corner rounder on all the corners to soften it a bit, it just didn't look right squared.  And just incase you weren't awake yet, have about the inside

 Just scaring you, it is toned down. I have used the sentiment "It's time to celebrate, but the other sentiments in the set are great too, You got a promotion, You're getting married!, You're under the weather (just add the umbrella to one of the birds), It's your birthday (add the party hat), About your good news or You're the best.  I love these sets that can be used for many different occasions.

Another birthday card

 This one is for my Brother, who loves to garden and has a incredible lawn.  Personally I like my lawn, never water or mow, it is synthetic.  The stamp set again is And Many Mower. The basic layout for this card, is the same as this card that I showed you two days ago.

but the image panel is slightly bigger.  I love this layout, simple and easy.
